You are thinking of "ALF". The AAF is a new minor league to test American's appetite for football and give players a chance to audition for the NFL. Founded by Charlie Ebersol and former NFL executive Bill Polian.

Yes. There are no kickoffs, teams will begin possessions on their own 25 yard line. There are no PAT kicks, teams will attempt 2-point conversions after each touchdown. There are no TV time outs and fewer commercials. The play clock is 35 seconds instead of 40. Overtime will be "High School rules" each team gets a possession on their own 10 yard line, games end in tie if still tied after that. There is also a "4th and long" desperation option as a replacement for onside kicks.

Well each team has 4 NFL tie in teams. Or you could root for a coach you like, you figure it out.
What channel is it on?
Various, Bender or I or someone will post schedules, there's 2 games on Sat and 2 on Sun. After the 10 game regular season is over the 2 teams in each conference advance to the playoffs.

Costs? How much did they contract that gunslinger in Memphis for? And the NFL, itself? I say get rid of the referees and send out 100 invitations per game to rabid arm-chair quarterbacks to call the game over the phone.

IMPY: Headed into week seven and I need week 6 results to make my picks.
Overall, I’m hovering around 500 but, the game is the thing and, so far, it has been entertaining.
