White is not a race. White people in general are Caucasian race.

They are looking for minority status so they can participate in the free stuff... they can’t get that if they have to mark white.
All these groups are Caucasians...as are Spaniards, who are not “Hispanics.” New World people of Spanish descent, known as Hispanics, have a large admixture of Indian and African bloodlines, so I guess that’s why the government gave them a special ethnic category. That is, they can be mixed. And probably also for political purposes.
The “racial” determination is a bit outdated anyway. For the purposes of keeping it simple, they might just put in areas of family origin, such as Europe, Eurasia, Asia, Africa, Polynesia, and Latin America (the latter being the only place, thanks to the Spanish policy of marrying anybody and everybody, that has a large mixed-race population). If they want, they could include a country of origin designation.

Ethnicity is a joke as well. As if a blonde-haired, blue-eyed lawyer from Uruguay has a shared cultural solidarity with a Mestizo migrant farmhand from the San Joaquin Valley other than they both celebrate Christmas. Even the dialects of Spanish they each speak are practically unintelligible from each other.
When I was in college it was Caucasoid, Negroid and Mongoloid. Seems like they had another category for Aboriginal Australians called Australoids.
It's possible that one reason this has happened is because Jewish people, and specifically Jewish people from the Middle East and North Africa countries, were once classified as “non-white” by the Census Bureau.
On the other hand, only a tiny percentage of current USA immigrants from those countries are Jewish.
Also, the Census Bureau allows Hispanic persons to “self-identify” as “white.” - and millions of them do.
Bottom Line - these classifications deceitfully adjust statistics to make it appear that “white” people with European heritage have higher welfare use and higher crime rates than they actually do.
For real drama, ask a Macedonian to identify as Greek.

Counting people by race is okay though, but not if you count too many racial groups. It would marginalize blacks and hispanics (and reduce democrats' racial gerrymandering power) if you break them down into smaller groups.
Everything the left pushes on us makes no @#%@ sense. Look at what has happened with LGBT.... It is constantly growing and now is LGBTQIA, where "Q" stands for "queer", the "I" stands for "intersex" and the "A" for "asexual" and/or "allied. Just say LGBTQWERTY and be done with it.
Don't get me started with the SJW gender pronouns. As far as I am concerned there are only 3: male, female, and pervert.
Why did she not speak up then? Why now? The answer is because now it would interfere with him running for president. The DNC is really vile for trying to pull this same game again that it used in 2016 against Bernie Sanders. Joe Biden is something else again. He will not be taken down with the same kind of an attack. He will actually rise above it and become the democrats main candidate. Whether he wins against Trump is another issue.
