It's alimentary!
“Apple started providing 30 minute/1 meter IP67 water resistant phones in September 2016. “
Three years behind Samsung.
Apple is already two years (and counting) behind on IP68.

LOL! Years behind Samsung on wireless charging and other features.
And they now use Samsung screens on their flagship phones.
My next door is an uber-Apple dude but when he saw my S9+ all he could say was ‘WOW’.
“The AirPods send a RFR signal from the right ear pod to the left ear pod...traveling right thru your brain!”
I hope you never use Bluetooth, wifi, cellphone .
They are the gayest looking earphones out there. Definitely Tim Cook approved.
Very functional. Form follows function.
They were claiming that and not meeting it in tests, getting instead the same as IP67 on many phones they were claiming were IP68. I again ask, who is going swimming with the Samsung phones? Production models were not meeting the goal.
Apple iPhone XS was rated and testing at IP68 in 2018. So much for your and counting claim.
The Apple screens have the highest ratings for color accuracy, far above the Samsung screens. Its a combination of the hardware and software, TexasGator. Samsung may make them, but Apple designs them.
OK.Only two years not counting.
Pleasedocument where it was failing ip68 tests.
“The Apple screens have the highest ratings for color accuracy, far above the Samsung screens. “
No way it is far above. Infact some reviewers rate Samsung higher in color accuracy.
I would say it us a tossup now that the iPhone uses a Samsung screen. Before the XS there was no comparison.

“How often do you go swimming with your Samsung phone? “
My wife dropped her iPhone into the toilet. If it had been ip68 it would have survived.
I once dropped a flip phone into my come.
No, it does not require IP68, an IP67 standard will survive immersion to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The all Apple iPhones models 7, 7 plus, 8, 8 plus , and all X models since 2016 will survive that with no problem. Any IP67 device can survive a mere dunking in a toilet or a bath or washbasin. You dont know what you are talking about.
IP68 is immersion below 1.5 meters for more than 30 minutes and the manufacturer must designate to what depth it is certified to meet. IP68 includes depths to a 1000 meters. There is no such thing as waterproof standard, only water resistant.
What does all of this have to do with the topic of this thread in any case. This is your attempt to hijack this thread.
“You dont know what you are talking about. “
I notice that you did not post anything where I erred.
LOL! It started with this post #4!
“All you Apple haters are just going to have to seethe over this one. “
TMI
“IP68 is immersion below 1.5 meters for more than 30 minutes and the manufacturer must designate to what depth it is certified to meet.”
LOL! And you claim I don’t know what I am talking about!
The photo examples dont even closely match. You cant even compare what the author is talking about. The S10 Bokeh is really digitized even with three rear cameras. The general shot of the desert, the S10 had an overall purplish cast while the iPhone XS Max had true color. Talk about a biased article. SHEESH.
