Will Cook County (Ill.) be home to the next big measles outbreak?
Researchers think so.
A research project spearheaded by Sahotra Sarkar, a University of Chicago-educated professor
at the University of Texas at Austin, revealed the 25 counties most at-risk for a widespread measles outbreak,
like those seen in Washington, Oregon and New York.

That’s based largely on the number of airplane flights to Chicago from global destinations
where parents increasingly don’t have their children vaccinated, she said.

“As we know O’Hare is a huge transfer point for travel within the United States,
not to mention all of the international flights,” she said.
“I’m not surprised that their modeling would’ve predicted that Cook County and the city of Chicago would be such a hot spot.”

:" Headline should be:

True that !
The article states that it is traveler, both through, and/or residents
of where measles outbreak has been evident.
Another article indicates that there are over 100,000 infected with measles, world-wide.

I hope professor Sarkar doesn’t end up being fired suspended or attacked for telling the truth-that foreigners coming here are driving these outbreaks-not American parents who choose not to vaccinate their kids against measles because they don’t trust the pharma and govt claims of safety. If these unvaccinated visitors are likely to cause an outbreak, then have THEM be vaccinated before they are allowed to come to the US at all-call it tourist insurance for US families...

The anti-vax myth has already been dis proven, and
the author has already besmirched his professional reputation.
However, there still remains religious opposition,
most noticeably among the orthodox Jewish community.
There is no small concern since it is the Jewish New York community
where the New York infection began, by a child returning from Israel who had not yet been vaccinated.

That is precisely why we had 'Ellis Island'
as an immigrant reception center.
It was designed to protect the American citizenry from disease and pestilence,
as well as to protect the population from the criminal element, and determine worthiness and willingness to assimilate.
