The first trailer for Ford v. Ferrari starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale is out.
The biopic tells the true story of how in 1966, Henry Ford II (Tracy Letts) and Lee Iacocca (Jon Bernthal) tasked legendary auto designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and driver Ken Miles (Bale) to design a car that will defeat Ferrari at the legendary 24 Hours at LeMans race.
The result was the Ford GT40, which became the first car ever created by an American company to win the iconic race.

I don’t recall Iacocca being involved in this at all.
I saw a documentary on this a few years ago and it was estimated Henry Ford spent around $200 Million in 1960’s dollars to win. I don’t know what that is in today’s money, maybe a $1 Billion.
I would enjoy this movie except for Damon, all of his recent movies have tanked, bad casting.
Same here. I wont even watch it for free via torrent.
Terrible casting. Should have been Tom Cruise, at least he likes racing cars.
I had a professor in the 60s who had raced at Le-mans.
I am pretty sure he said his car was a Nash Healey. A Healey body with a Nash engine.
Not for long.
Yup. The children Tesla wannabes are clueless about racing and cars in general.
When did this guy have time to design cars?
LOL!
Was about to post reminder that Le Mans was a 24 hour endurance race, not quarter mile run.

Bale’s a foaming at the mouth rabid Leftard as well...
Won’t see...Won’t miss...
When I was 12, I got sit in one of the original Ford GT40 machines. Filthy dirty inside, but so cool...
The Hollywood ‘left’ are so unimaginative that they can’t even make any kind of original ‘movie’.
There are several lengthy movies on YOUTUBE about the battle between Ford’s GT40 and Ferrari. One specifically deals with the FORD side of the story and the men behind it.
Let’s see that Tesla do the 24 Hr race.
Why read ?
This is the original movie with the original people instead of actors.
I met Carroll at Purdue University in the 80s. I had a picture of a Shelby Mustang that I took and got it signed by him. The picture had an attractive model leaning against the car. He asked if that “was my girlfriend” and I replied “I thought it was yours?” He said he “didn’t believe so but he would check and get back to me!”
Except it wouldn’t run for 24hrs without a recharge every lap
This is all about 24hrs at Le Mans.
Winner of 67 Le Mans.
