I ha ve no interest in going to these resort islands and locations anymore.

Are you ready for a cruise?

The liquor flows freely and I have not seen any passengers et sick.

Even a non drinker like myself will have a couple of pina coladas a day.(some with a rum floater) - Tom

Who needs a divorce lawyer when you can just take her there?

When I travel to third world countries, all I drink is beer from a bottle. Never get sick. Foams up when you brush your teeth.

I went to HI in April. Nonstop flight on Hawaiian Airlines from Boston to Honolulu 11.5 hours. Six hour time difference. You lose a complete day coming back. Then it takes me about 3-4 days to reacclimate from the jet lag.

That is why people from the eastern US time zone go to Caribbean Islands. Many go to DR because it is cheap.
I have never been there. I probably never will.
I have been to Bermuda, BVI’s, USVI, Grand Cayman, Bahamas. I would go to Barbados, St Bart’s, Turks & Caicos and Nevis.
I would not go to many of the others. Even in the USVI there are a lot of sketchy places. Especially on St. Croix and St. Thomas.

Any one of the “ABC” Islands; Aruba, Bonaire or Curacao are fine. Ruled by the Dutch, and everything shipshape.

Six years ago we did an all inclusive in Punta Cana, the Bavaro Princess. At check-in they gave wifey and me complementary cigars. All was fine, except my wife’s body heat attracts mosquitos! She got eaten alive. Smoked the cigars when we got home. Best I ever had. Been to Aruba four times. A desert island. NO bugs or mosquitos. Will never return to DR. I’ll buy my own cigars.

I have not heard anything about local deaths. That, to me, means it isn’t “bad liquor” being sold in the area. Instead, it suggests someone deliberately killing Americans by poisoning them.

Product tampering is rampant in DR.

Watering down liquor, soft drinks and everything else they can get away with, because they can, so they do.

It is not surprising that there have been deaths from such behavior. BOTULISM I suspect is a major cause of death.........

There are plenty of fun places to go in the USA without worrying about dying as a result. Exceptions...the open sewer cities like San Francisco, LA and Seattle where you are likely to contract diseases like you would have in medieval times, Chicago and Baltimore where shootings are rampant, New York City for a host of reasons and any areas carried by Hillary in 2016. Check out places in flyover country especially in the smaller cities and towns. My wife and I just had a delightful weekend in La Crosse, WI. For families I’d recommend a trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota.

““....tons of places to go to here in the states with laws that protect you.””

Yes, but you’d have to pay two to three times as much for the same level of ass kissing.
