Every single one of our instructors has said open carry and
gun graffiti draws unnecessary attention to you if you are a CCW holder.

Gray man will be seen as normal, but can be the most deadly individual around. Why blow your cover?

Smart guys always win against tough guys.

“Remember, every bullet you fire comes with a lawyer attached.”
Old Will was right with those words he had spoken-—
Wada U do to start all over?-— FIRST, kill all the lawyers !

Maybe, but in a non-constitutional carry state, you are also opening yourself up to hassles by the police.

On Guam you obtain a firearms license which allows open carry. Concealed carry cos a bit more.

I occasionally see a person carrying, but really, when everyone wears a bathing suit to Kmart where are you going to conceal?

You want to be a target? Put that damn Glock sticker or S&W sticker on your car. Wear that gun outside & open carry like a show-off.

In some of the small towns in Arizona, IIRC, an awful lot of folks open carry - probably have been doing it for decades. If you're visiting, you might stand out more by NOT having a handgun visible (of course, you stick out like a sore thumb anyway, because everybody knows each other, and nobody knows you ;^).

I don't do it myself, but I enjoy seeing folks open carry - it reminds me that I'm lucky enough to be living in a Free State, rather than a place Idi Amin might love, like California or New York...

You need a P32 and a sticky holster.

Yeah, the guy on the right even has The Tactical Flip-Flops going on.

Yeah, they’ll work REAL well if he has to start running and shooting.

I know a real "operator". He was involved in a lot of central American black operations.

He said he wore flip flops a lot because your feet would rot in boots.

I asked him if he ever lost a flip/flop or sandal.

He said he chased hundreds of people who had them, and never saw where any of them lost one while running.

I was surprised, but that is what he told me.

I was always surprised at how often I saw him barefoot (normally at home). It seems he like to keep his feet toughened up.

One of the most competent men I have ever known.

25 percent of all cops murdered with firearms are done with their own weapon. That’s despite training and retention holsters.

Very old statistic.

It hasn't been that way for decades.

Oh, there’s no doubt some guys can “work” in them. And I guess in some situations it makes sense.

For Me... No way. I have “foot paranoia”... I’ve had lots of puncture damage to my feet over the years, so I tend to wear stuff that’s more protective. I can’t imagine running in flip-flops, though.

“...your feet would rot in boots....”
I’ve heard that. Can’t be pleasant, for sure...

“...barefoot ... to keep his feet toughened up. ...”
Yeah, I’ve got soft North Philly City Boy feet, unfortunately.
