The left, in their total government utopian mindset, can’t wrap their head around a right to prevent government intrusion.

Guns are totally controlled. You cannot go into a neighboring State and purchase a gun without having it shipped to your home state to a FFL dealer from a FFL. It is a privilege granted to some by government, that can be taken away on any whim. THAT is the current state of the RKBA in America 2019
Its pretty nice if you never heard of those laws.
Sadly people give up their rights. Look at cities and states that have infringed and mostly banned guns. Hawaiians gave up without fight, same with others around US.

Every purchase is tracked, serial numbers a logged, and the address where we all live is known. THEY WILL come after all guns, it is only a matter of time.
I didn’t know how far down the road we were towards confiscation until I tried recently to purchase a pistol in WA State. Last time I did was in 2011, and I showed the man my CC card, he ran a check, I went home with the gun. This time, not so much.
The process angered me so much, that I attempted to discover ways around it. There really are none that guarantee you will NOT go to jail. You either follow every rule to the tee, or hell will rain on your head eventually.
Last time I bought a rifle, I walked into a store and walked out after paying cash. It took 15 minutes all told. What is a guy to do if he goes on a hunting trip out of State, and is robbed of his weapon? Give a man in the state you are in your money, ship it back to your home state to a dealer, retrieve it there after taking a safety course, an FBI background check AND a NICS check too?
Shoot the rain, stop being a coward.

The problem with the SCOTUS is, it really has no authority to uphold our rights, or rule against them. It is all a sham. We HAVE these rights as a birthright. We didn’t need the Constitution to have them, or the government to give them to us. They CAN ONLY TAKE THEM AWAY, not give them out.
