Why should we (those who live outside of Cook County) secede? We should just kick out Chicago and Cook County; let it become a territory or possession of the U.S., kind of like Puerto Rico, or Guam (though, since it abuts Lake Michigan, it may capsize, to paraphrase that dim Dem Hank Johnson of Georgia).
When, back in 1964, I graduated High School, I had often heard the word “queer” but we just thought it meant some weird kid.

Outrageous! Why more people aren’t homeschooling their kids, I don’t know.

But folks in other states shouldn’t assume that absent an idiot like Pritzker who brings it right out in the open, the same guidance is not present in public schools in other states. This is what most “educators” were taught, and believe. They just do it quietly, in the classroom.
Well, as they consolidate power, we can certainly expect more of this. It would really seem that these states, given their sick ‘values’, gun laws, taxes, and other costs of living, simply don’t want people living there who are middle class or upper middle class.
And yet most people on our side unfortunate enough to have gotten stuck in those states STILL are not making nearly the level the effort they could to get out. [hint, the unemployment rate in the US, including red states, is effectively zero at this point]
All that I can say is DO NOT WAIT TOO LONG - as your options may start to disappear before you even know what’s going on, as happened to 10s of millions of people in the 20th Century.

I like Chopin, so his sexual preference has never been a factor in my appreciation of his music.
However it doesn’t mandate that the LGBT crap be taught, nor is there a funding component for any of that. Public schools will be required to comply but several sources have said that “The measure is limited to public schools. It wouldn’t apply to private or religious schools.”
Of course they know if they tried to force that it would end up in court, so they’ll take what they can get - state mandated indoctrination of public school students who pretty much are getting that already.
Oh, but wasn’t there that letter from Lincoln saying he shared a bed with another man? (Yes, that’s evidence, but not proof).
Also,I’ve heard it claimed that Sonja Kovalevskaya (Mathematician) was gay because she married a man she dldn’t love to get an exit visa to complete her education.
Buchanan did have a girlfriend but she died. I think “evidence” on a lot of historical figures is going to be shaky.
He was a white dude, so no.
Everything white must be erased and forgotten, for the good of humanity, dontcha know.

So, these ‘guys’ just couldn’t cut it with women? Were rejected by woman? Could not find a *smart* enough woman? Had bad experiences with women (of that era or the ones in their area)?
I mean, there are, there could be literally a dozen OTHER reasons than what the LGBTQXYZ types ‘claim’ why these guys led the life they led ... and it may not have been ‘gay’ lifestyle as claimed ... I certainly don’t know.
