I’d love to slap that woman. What is worse than a gun in the hands of a bad guy?
I lived in Homer Glen for over 30 years. If you ever took Will Cook Road and drove North towards 159th St. and saw a huge tower with a bunch of ham radio antenna's on it in the Twin Lakes Subdivision, that was me.
Punk in pink PING !
Good points. Many larger calibers are very difficult to “conceal.” But there are pocket firearms that work well. A woman has an advantage if she has a purse.
I would hesitate carrying if there is a direct law against it. However, one might be arrested... but still be alive. Note the second half of this sentence.
All fine, until you have to use it. You then are charged with a gun crime, lose your permit, probably go to jail.
All of this is worth it, provided you save a life, but it will cost you $20,000. to be right.
As they say out west (in PA), it is always better to be judged by twelve than to be carried by six.
Agreed. In most cases, what they don’t know wont hurt them. The important point is to conceal it which can be a challenge for men and the larger calibers pistols.
It might be nice to have a caliber that can shoot through a brick wall and have 18 rounds, however that kind of firepower requires a very large pistol which is difficult to conceal. So, you end up not carrying. Not carrying defeats the purpose. A smaller caliber pistol with fewer rounds that is easily concealed is better than none at all.
Yep. I’ve seen it.
I lived at (appx) 143rd and Parker.
I’m guessing we know each other.
Mail.
Jean-Paul LaPierre should claim the weapon as his under the Booty Law in Numbers 31:26-47. Booty is also covered in our English common law.

We’re forgetting too many of our common law rights. If you disarm and defeat an enemy in combat, you are rightfully entitled to his property, which includes weapons, personal goods and livestock if he has any. As a member of the militia, Jean-Paul LaPierre now owns that handgun.
I will happily take my chances. There are a fair number of cases now where a conceal/carry has been used in these stupid gun free zones to stop a crime and states attorneys have refused to prosecute. Even here in socialist hellhole Illinois.
It was a thing of beauty, IMO. Miss having it.
