Up until I hit the big 40, I could eat as much as I wanted and whatever I wanted without gaining weight. I was a skinny little runt at 6'2", 180#. I didn't go over 200 until I hit 50.
Even though I was watching what I ate and getting some exercise, I was close to 300# this March. It took me drastic action to finally get below 250#. Namely, few carbs, a boring breakfast of a protein shake, a boring lunch of coleslaw, vinegar based dressing & protein, doTerra oil supplements and 5 hours or more in the gym weekly. Each pound gets harder to lose. But like anything worthwhile, it is worth the effort and I feel a whale of a lot better and less like a whale.
Go on a diet lardass.
I’ve been to some restaurants where only a thin child could fit
Just don't try and alter or change, or lower the quality of 'beauty' for men.
Stay off and out of SI.
This reminds me of a few years ago when my dad showed me his 1950 college yearbook. He asked, “What DON’T you see?” There was not a single obese person to found in its pages. He had pulled out his yearbook after we returned from a trip to Wal Mart because he was disgusted by how many obese people we saw there.
“Chairs with...impossibly small seats” = normal sized chairs for normal sized people. Unless they are raiding the local kindergarten for chairs.
While deciding what to eat never seems to be.
They could sell those chairs to the gay bar down the street- flip them over, seat 4 on each.
Secondly, think about those times we've seen people that weigh 500+ being basically air-lifted out of their homes for some reason. WHO is feeding these people? They're not getting up, shopping, cooking, driving through the fast food lane by themselves when they can't even leave the house.
And, yes. I no longer have my Army-Ready 18 year old body, but I can fit in a restaurant booth! My problem (OMG! Do I have a handicap? Am I a VICTIM?!?!?) is that I'm only 5 foot 1 inch, so the tables are always slightly too TALL for me - it looks like I'm shoveling in food right from the table, LOL!
What about us Shorties? Where's our sympathetic article in a national publication?
*SNORT*
“If I cant put the menu between my stomach and the table I wont sit there.”
My rule is that my boobs cannot hang over the table.
Boobs over table = NO booth
Calories eaten - calories burned = calories added to weight.
This is immutable fact.
Eat less, do more, mostly eat less.
Calorie restriction diets work.
Or just eat yourself to death quietly in your home, out of sight.
Alot of chairs at restaurants are very flimsy. My Father in Law is a tall guy, 6’4”, large frame (NOT FAT), with major back issues.
Many chairs at restaurants scare the hell out of me because I think they will collapse under him and seriously hurt him.
As a side note for any future wedding planners - skip the cheap folding chairs. If you need to rent chairs, rent decent chairs. He almost killed himself on one of those and is unbearably uncomfortable.
When I go to a restaurant that has both booths and available tables, I tell the hostess "I'll wait for an available table, please". If the person then walks past tables and tries to put me at a booth, I smile and say "that's a lovely booth, but I asked for a table". Most times he or she understands and corrects the mistake.
For Larger Customers, Eating Out Is Still a Daunting Experience

That degree of obesity didn’t happen over night, and it won’t be cured over night. It’s the result of bad decisions becoming bad habits good decisions and good habits need to replace them.
Two words, Becky...low carb.
Lose some weight you whiny slob and stop insisting the world change to accommodate your self-inflicted condition.
You’re not a victim of anything except yourself.
Poor Dear. Poor, poor Dear. I have a clue to give her.
NEVER. Never book a flight on a commerical plane. Just don't even try.
