Yea, I'm holding my Presidential vote until he weighs in.

Blind Gossip] We always knew that this leading actor was a bit unique, but we did not expect this.

She calls it “in a mood.” It means that he doesn’t talk to anybody, even her. This can sometimes go on for a days. She sleeps in a separate bedroom until he is out of the mood.

This mood apparently doesn’t have anything to do with her. It doesn’t happen because she has hurt or annoyed him in any way. He just isolates himself from everyone.

Once he is out the mood, he will pretend like nothing happened and acts very nice to her. He never apologizes or anything like that.

That’s weird behavior. It’s intense and random and capricious. All at the same time.

We don’t know what it’s about. Artistic solitude? Substance abuse? Depression? Prayer? Me time? Generic quirkiness?

Yes, you will definitely see this couple at The Oscars on Sunday!

I saw someone post the entire speech on a Facebook page and say how heartfelt it was. I didn’t watch him last night, but did see him on the Bafta broadcast. My husband and I both agreed that the Joker seems not far off Phoenix’s true personality. Sad.

Why does the whole family constantly refer to their brother Rivers’ death, like it’s the seminal event in their lives? Everybody on this planet has lost a family member at some point but we don’t dwell on it decades later. We get over it and move on. Sheesh.

I congratulate him on recognizing the ridiculousness of the Hollywood self-congratulatory award ceremonies, but he misses the point about societal ills and issues.

The sins of the father are not genetically passed down to their children, and judging whole groups of people based upon something as nebulous as ‘white privilege’ is just another form of prejudice. Also, not having the open-mindedness to accept that there really are big unanswered questions about climate change is another form of prejudice (in this case, accepting that Western society is destroying the world - because that’s what you choose to believe).

this one is funny

https://blindgossip.com/joker-did-not-find-this-funny/#more-100106

...Joaquin Phoenix was there with his family and Rooney [Mara]. A lot of people were coming up and congratulating him on his Oscar.

That makes sense. Here is a photo of Joaquin celebrating with his family, girlfriend, and friends. We note that Rooney is determined to hold onto her French fries.

Then along came another movie star.

[Movie Star] just walked by him and said, “Mooooo.” Joaquin didn’t seem to think that was funny and just gave him a look.

I don’t like to click on links. But I’m thinking this must have been Rooney Mara? At the BAFTAs she looked so in love, but fragile. He sounds more than a little off.

Everybody on this planet has lost a family member at some point but we don’t dwell on it decades later.

Some do.

It's far from healthy, but they absolutely do.

He is a good example that actors should act, not speak in public. He was good in his role as Johnny Cash.
