Don’t know if you can answer this, but there seem to be two forms of the “chloroquine” out there. The “Plaquenil” used in this study, and a whole boxcar full of “chloroquine phosphate” tablets from Bayer.
Is there a difference?
I would think both forms would have to be utilized to meet demand.

Honestly, No idea. I hear the Same things as you. But I will keep an ear open.
This March 9 study from China shows that hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) inhibited COVID-19 (aka SARS-CoV-2) better than regular chloroquine:

Hydroxychloroquine also has fewer side effects.
