Not yet, but why is “busybody” spelled with a “y” and “business” with an “i”? English is a crazy language.
busyness
occupied with meaningless activity; the quality of being busy:
Why aren't "Business" and "Busybody" pronounced as they are spelled or spelled as they are pronounced?
That's none of your business.
How do you pronounce "business?"
There's more logic there than meets the eye.
Because English borrows words from other languages and keeps their spelling. I have a terrible time with French words. We should give them back on mass. (YES. I know how it’s spelled.)
“Busybody” is a compound word. Both parts can already stand alone; one as an adjective; Busy, and the other as a noun;
Body. “Business” is a word in and of itself, with no modifiers needed. It can be many things, an adjective a verb or even a noun!
