On Tuesday, Apple Music canceled the radio schedule for Beats 1 radio to support Blackout Tuesday, suggesting that listeners tune in to a Blackout Tuesday radio stream.
On launching Apple Music, users see a message that replaces the normal For You, Browse, and Radio sections. The page includes a Listen Together button that links to the aforementioned station.
In steadfast support of the Black voices that define music, creativity, and culture, we use ours. This moment calls upon us all to speak and act against racism and injustice of all kinds. We stand in solidarity with Black communities everywhere. #TheShowMustBePaused #BlackLivesMatter
Apple Music is searchable, but users cannot see the usual displays and links to new releases, featured videos, featured playlists, etc.
MacDailyNews Take:While we understand the sentiment, wed prefer there were a way for users to be able to access the normal For You, Browse, and Radio sections if they desire, since they are paying for the service the full service, with full functionality not a subset of what Apple wants subscribers to be able to do, see, and hear.
Yes, the idiots on Instagram my ONE safe have have ruined that today too. Im using it to unfollow them. SO disappointing!
Just when we need positive content the most.
But its not just music. Its posting black squares everywhere! Also #mute is also happening even on Instagram and it makes no sense!
BLM on Twitter is not happy because they are hijacking their hashtag thus their messages so take solace in that at least.
As Rush coined symbolism over substance we are just witnessing once again how the Left ruins everything they touch.
Who killed serial connections by introducing USB, who killed cd/dvd drives, who killed CRT's? Who builds the CPUs for current Apple Products. Who controls the price of current CPU's?
Intel is falling behind and Apple currently depends on their progress to advance in quantities required. Stand by for ARM to make a difference which will be a bigger problem introducing than the switch from Power PC to Intel did. It is insane for Apple to remain a captive to Intel whims of production.
I agree Apple is over priced and often under performs but when you compare exact comparisons on performance and price Apple often beats their competitors price. Anyone who is willing to tackle the task a strong performer can be built at home far cheaper. There are dozens of Hackintosh forums to help you build such a monster but they will never perform flawlessly through multiple software updates and most people just want a machine that does internet and mail that is all.
I have 2012 Mac minis that do that just fine, they are not game machines but I am in no sense a gamer never have been and I do not use Apple Music ever. I am not a crusader for Apple I just want to use the internet at my leisure, as trouble free as possible and my Apple products do that just fine. I do have a six core i7 Mac mini that out performs my Tricked out 1012 Mac Pro but just because I wanted something that would last me till I don't need one anymore and I am closer to 82 than 81.
Most of those users use the same product and it is software which is available on either platform so. You realize that Pcs in use also include cash registers at store right? It is a machine that can do multiple things most businesses use their machines for a single purpose, to run custom database or spreadsheet applications that can run independently on hardware so they choose hardware that will run for a very long time maintenance free or they use cheap disposable hardware.
That is all fanboy propaganda I tell you, ask anyone that knows anything about computers. </s>
Just kidding Sword. Truth is facts don't often enter into these Apple hater treads. I read the windows threads and don't recall PC haters from the Mac Group over there trashing them. Wonder why?
There are plenty of them. Smith & Wesson. Springfield Armory. Strom Ruger. So on.
I have used Apple products since the 48 K modems (actually before they even had modem)and have had exactly one virus and that came from a new LynkSys router, that came infected. Had to replace Apple routers when lightning wiped them out and Apple had discontinued these, why I don't know but they did. Now have a ERRO mesh system, seems to work fine even without their protection package. Just checked and have 25 devices connected, have the three pack of routers 2 of them wired and one wireless works flawlessly tho I did have to restart it once.
Easy enough I am an Apple Fanboy and never used Apple Music and don't intend to. Never listened to rap of any kind unless they are running i as background i a TV show which I can ignore. Life is simple, buy the stuff you like and can afford and let other people do the same.
Ruger supported the limited magazines for a long time, but I was referring to tech companies since this was an Apple hate thread.
I don’t limit my disdain to just Apple Music. ANY company who insists on showing their arse through Virtue Signaling is telling me that they do not need my patronage or my money. Apple Music, is right there with companies like Land-O-Lakes, DUST and so on. They pop up with their cheap sh*t and I just add them to the list of No Goes. It’s really that simple.
Samsung manufactures most of the components in Apple products.
Yep. Just like every corporation in the US had a #AloneTogether gimmick, they are now rising up in solidarity of the looters and rioters.
Bleep 'em.
I’m not yelling at you, but at the Appleholes. They black out their music, so to speak, to sympathize with Black people — dumb virtue signallers.
If it were me, I’d be playing Al Green, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Will Smith, all the true Black greats, on the open channels (internet radio) today.
I can use their hardware without using apple music, unlike some hardware that comes with Undeletable cr@pware. That is all I am saying, couldn't cate less what other people do as long as they aren't harming me or the Republic.
Some likely not most, suppliers change according to product and supply. I think LG will be providing all the LED screens for the new iPhones. They still use Modems that they can't improve so they may have to make their own at some point.
I gave up on most music when Hank Williams died then Patsy, then Tammy and George, not that I didn't enjoy the great musical movies that they used to make. Have most of those on my hard drives.
Where’s the racism? Nobody knows the cop wouldn’t have done this to any other drug user resisting arrest after passing bad money.
In that case, don’t forget Charley Pride. :-)
You sure? The policeman I talked with the other day, who spend 22 years in Baltimore, including during the Freddy Gray riots, told me he was never taught that particular “technique.” He’s as appalled by what Chauvin did as I am.
If Mr. Floyd really was high on goofballs, Officer Chauvin was still the kill shot to him, at least. The charges he got were appropriate, IMO.
