People living inside Seattle’s newly minted autonomous zone have spoken out against the serious problems it is creating for them.Shelby Talcott from The Daily Caller reported on the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ,) and how people in the immediate area, who are not part of the protest, are being affected.

The occupiers of CHAZ are not revolutionaries, they are typical representatives of Seattle culture. That is why local authorities and the local press are treating them with kid gloves, even praising them.

The "revolutionaries" of CHAZ are like rebellious children who "run away" from home by hiding in the basement. This is a family squabble between indulgent parents (the authorities) and their bratty children (CHAZ).

If CHAZ really did represent a revolt against Seattle values, it would have been dealt with harshly. Within hours, the area would have been surrounded by police (and probably FBI), tear gassed, and the participants would have been rounded up and arrested. Conservatives should stay out of this fight; we have nothing to gain by injecting militancy into this situation.
