This mortgage company will have dig up a fair amount of money (probably more than $10-million) to pay this lady off. I’m guessing the board is meeting today and discussing how this action occurred, and who exactly signed off.

The story needs to give dates because the way its written it looks like she was fired before rather than after the shooting since the way back machine finds here there in May. Most likely the leave of absence was due to the increased stress because of the shooting, but they need to say that.
I am going to guess that she expressed her opinion that her stepson acted appropriately and was innocent of murder.

I wonder if the reason the Atlanta Police Chief resigned was because the mayor was demanding she fire the officer. After this is all over and the murder 1 charge fails, I’d like to see the officer sue the mayor and the city for wrongful termination and win an award large enough to bankrupt the mayor and her cronies.
