She fails to note that it was the Yishuv, the Jewish settlers who were hit much harder by British policies. The brutal punishments, etc.
On the other hand, what if Arab leadership had not rejected the partition, what if they had rejected the Mufti and other radicals?
A good movie is: In Our Hands - starts out with how the Jews defeated the Arabs in 1948 up until the capture of Jerusalem in the 1967 war.
Arab Israeli Wars by Chaim Herzog is an excellent book. He lived it.
I think the rest of the Arab world, especially the Sunnis who face an expansionist Iran, are just damn tired of spending energy and resources on those Pali losers.
If that isn’t direct evidence of Divine Intervention, I don’t what is.
I am not Israel’s biggest fan (Still miffed about the USS Liberty. I don’t think it was an accident.) but whoever blesses Israel will be blessed!
In 1948 while Syria and Jordan were attacking Israel each nation had MORE troops deployed to guard against each other, than they had attacking Israel. In a nutshell this is why the Arabs always lose. They hate each other more than Israel.
“worriers”?
What were they worried about?
who launched the IDF and is so revered by the Israelis.
I’ve read a few books about the wars including the Holocaust and how the Jews defeated the Arabs time and time again especially how the IAF took out those Egyptian planes in the ‘67 war.; the Jews are fighting for their land they’ve had since time began, the Arabs have no feelings for the land, they were just living on it, no cities built, no government, no president, and never a king or minted coin.
I’m currently reading a novel titled: The Jerusalem Assassin. Pretty good.
The ‘73 war nearly ended Israel.
Only Nixon’s airlift re-supply saved it.
Saudi oil embargo was their revenge on the USA.
Quite probably now looking back, Saudi could have been funding Nixon’s resignation.
Yup.
Righfully “Worried-warriors” of losing.. Deuteronomy 8:20
