Given how serious we feel the current US situation is:
No free speech Purging of all conservative thought One party system of government State press No free and fair elections
Is it still honorable to serve?
If you “serve” in the U.S. military you are basically a mercenary for foreign governments and corporate interests.
I can see the intent of your post, it is somewhat difficult to reply to as a yes or no, atm hold fast intel is intel.
respects
I was wondering when Red-State Americans would start to question sending their sons and daughters to wars created by deep-state hacks like Bush, Obama, McCain, Romney and Clinton
I can’t imagine what Biden’s puppet masters are going to push him to do. It’s frightening.
Yes. It is honorable to serve even now.
This will pass. Trust me our people are so wired up they are going to regret this.
How about when they disqualify or standard bearer over a false incitement charge.
That’s revolutionary stuff.
Agree. It is honorable. Probably not advisable to enter at this point.
Tough one, you take an oath to defend the Constitution and yet you’re going to serve a government that violates and ignores it.
“...what Biden’s puppet masters are going to push him to do...”
Reinstate the draft and have a field day with a psychotic foreign policy.
IMHO
Since it’s no longer the land of the free, then, it’s time for those in the services now to start retiring or ending their service. It’s also time for those thinking of serving to change their minds. It’s no longer honorable and it’s no longer worth it.
Let me phrase it differently.
Is it honorable to have your son or daughter serving in this current climate?
Personally speaking, NO.
I will not sacrifice my only daughter to further the lefts agenda.
Those currently serving are duty bound to honor their oaths. However, I’d imagine there won’t be many re-ups at the end of enlistments. The ones that are fairly close to their twenty will probably hang on and then get out. The military is going to be hurting really bad in the NCO ranks shortly. My family is legacy military. We have an unbroken line of service since 1907 and back through the past to the Revolution. My son will be the last. Just going to get his twenty.
Yes. While our internal threats are real, our external threats are just as real. Serving has always been about covering each others back, regardless of the political environment, to get the job done. Until that job pits you against the citizens of your country, you’re still standing in their defense.
There are various kinds of people in the military.
Some wear a uniform and hold a broom.
Some want money for education.
Some want the pay and benefits.
Some can’t seem to be able to do something else.
Some are looking for a husband (even guys).
Some want adventure.
Some want to learn a skill.
Some are just marking time.
Some want to protect and defend their country.
Depends on the reason for joining, I guess.
Why?
Just asking.
To protect from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
“...they are going to regret this...”
Nah. More than fifty per-cent of the population is radicalized and they welcome paternalistic socialism.
They’ll swallow it hook line and sinker.
Bye-bye republic. Hello soviet states of America.
IMHO
Agreed. It’s more than ever necessary for young patriots to join up, get military training and experience, and not cede tha armed forces to the woketarians. It took decades for the communists “long march through the institutions” to bear fruit. Patriots need to copy their tactics to take back that terrain.
