True that.
I don't think the author passed the "I'mnotaRobot" test.
Looks like a grammar check replaced "Long" with "Lengthy" in the quote above.
Mexican Cokes use Cane Sugar, which differs from US manufacture. Also the bottles seem much more sexy than cans.
FWIW, a fellow manager back in the early 90s, would drink Diet Coke as a substitute for coffee, but he consumes a 6-pack before 10am and 1-3 six-packs throughout the work day.
I now just drink tap water in a used sports drink bottle, rotating new bottles periodically for hygiene. Keeps me hydrated and low cost.
I love coffee. i used to drink 64 ounces a day. Then I began to wonder why I have headaches.
Duh.
Now I limit myself to just 24 ounces of coffee a day. Still too much I know.
My wife also likes it black, and extremely hot. I may not get the caffiene boost, but I don’t have the need for a ‘booster(s)’ as the day goes by.
I have never bought a new car or truck. We have lived on gravel roads, and had kids, and in recent years grandkids. For one thing, it lessens the grief of seeing a new door ding, when it already has a few imperfections. We do research the previous owner(s) though.
For example, if the vehicle has a bumper hitch with wear signs, or mounting marks indicating that it had one, we often move on. If the hitch shows no signs of being used, then we may consider it as not worked too hard. That advise was given to me decades ago by a friend who (now retired) that rebuilt engines and transmissions.
Coke is woke, go broke !!
That said, the info is solid. Diet soda sweeteners are multple times as sweet as regular sugar, and increase cravings for other sweets. They are more harmful than drinking a regular cane sugar coke (manufactured in Mexico, which the bodegas sell for twice the price).
I used to drink 2 to 4 a day for about 25 years and quit. 2 years and haven’t missed them.
If you want to get fat, and stay fat, drink lots of diet drinks.
I Was Powerless Over Diet Coke "After almost 40 years as a diet-soda addict, my body suddenly started to reject my favorite feel-good companion."
OR the website used some kind of algorithm to change the text in a lame attempt to avoid copyright issues, since they didn't credit or link to the original.
That wouldn't help, if the NYT wanted to bother making an issue of it.
Sorry to disappoint you but I’ve been drinking diet colas since their inception — I’m not fat.
