Massachusetts Institute of Technology canceled a lecture by geophysicist Dorian Abbot amid criticism of his views on campus diversity efforts.
In the opinion piece, Abbot and professor Ivan Marinovic criticized diversity, equity and inclusion standards as "treating people as members of a group rather than as individuals, repeating the mistake that made possible the atrocities of the 20th century."
"It treats persons as merely means to an end, giving primacy to a statistic over the individuality of a human being," they wrote in the opinion piece.
His position over college diversity efforts sparked pushback from many academics on social media who said his rhetoric harms people of color in colleges and academia...

Truth.
MIT graduates make the most money over a thirty year period than any other college. An acceptance letter to MIT alone allows a person to make more money over a thirty year period and many people with college degrees. Sad how anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Catholic, anti-intellectual fools are destroying the best academic product in the world.

Funny, I always heard the slogan as:
“MIT... PhD... M.O.N.E.Y”
Think of how much more oil and gas would have been discovered had geophysicists incorporated diversity into their equations and calculations.
It is exciting to anticipate the monumental changes that will occur once the standard constants of the speed of sound and gravity are adjusted for diversity.
If I take your beverage of choice (beer, wine, milk, pop) and pour water into it did I make it diverse or did I dilute it? The left is 1984’ing our language, and Americans are even coming to grips with Democrats pushing communism on us and realizing they can’t depend on anyone else for self protection. I saw an article over at TheFederalist detailing that process, “After You Buy A Gun For Self-Defense, Here’s What To Do With It”, so give that a look. With courts having ruled police aren’t required to protect you and the left defunding them anyway, the time to take responsibility is now. Good old regular English still works fine and since the illegal aliens won’t learn it we can use it to talk about them behind their backs (or even to their faces).
It’s called demonizing and it was done recently to 1) Trump voters, 2) white people 3) folks who don’t want mystery shots.
If ‘diversity’ were such a great thing you’d think communist China would have stolen that from us too. Oops!

I looked at how MIT is structured.
Perhaps if the closed down SHASS (School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences) the problem would go away. The other departments are all hard science/tech related.
