I love all the original Universal Monster movies, but this one is a favorite. One of my favorite scenes from the movie is:

Larry Talbot : Last night I went through another one of my horrible experiences. Many years ago I was bitten by a werewolf. Now, whenever the full moon rises I turn into a wolf myself.

Lou Costello : That’€™s alright; I’€™m a bit of a wolf myself!

Larry Talbot : You don’€™t understand. Every night when the moon is full, I turn into a wolf.

Lou Costello : You and twenty million other guys!

I own it on DVD. It is in my Complete Universal Picture Collection which has 28 of their movies.

I was expecting some inside Austin humor roasting Greg Abbott.

Agree, but love all their movies. And if my trivia is correct, Glenn Strange, the monster, was in later life, Sam the Bartender on Gunsmoke. Vincent Price was fun too as the voice of the Invisible Man in the last scene. Also, this is supposedly the last movie where Bella Lugosi turned in a strong performance. I believe he had a dependence on morphine due to an injury?

Another fun monster flick of Abbott & Costello’s was Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with Boris Karloff.

That's a matter of personal taste. In any event, it is the second of only two films in which Lugosi portrayed Dracula.

I believe he had a dependence on morphine due to an injury?

Watch the Johnny Depp movie "Ed Wood."

Fun movies. I have the whole set on DVD. Made back when movies were safe for kids to go see.

I noticed that comedy began to change back in the 1990s. I saw several and asked...”THIS is supposed to be funny?”
