As opposed to a gasoline powered electric engine?

That looks like an unsafe way to ride a motorcycle. Good thing it was in a TV studio.

Those Yamaha’s are very nice. I had a 1979 RD400 Daytona Special that I miss. It had a straight chrome exhaust and I put Gemco expansion chambers on it.

It references a new factory and if they are making them in England, I’m good with it being called a BSA. My modern Triumph was built in Hinckley. It certainly is a British bike when it comes to ordering parts and accessories!

How come computers aren't manufactured by any British company?
Answer: The design engineers haven't figured out how to make them leak oil yet.

That helps a bit. :)
I would like to see them break from the trend of copying rice rockets and produce some retro classics. Computerized engine management, fuel injection, and integrated trans on a copy 50 Gold Star so it meets smog regs would be cool as hell.
Ever ride one? They have the torque of a Harley, but it will out rev a Harley. Fun as hell and will haul a big guy around even faster.

My Ford 9N tractor had positive ground. I converted it. It was fun to see the British cars lights dim at idle from their generator output. I’m not sure what year they changed to 12Volt Negative earth with alternators?

The big six cylinder engine in the Triumph GT6 was actually a tractor engine with 11.5 to one compression ratio. The engine itself would run forever. The gearbox, rear axle, and electrical, not so much. I miss the sewing machine sound of a British engine.

I don’t remember, but we changed here in the states long before the Brits did. And even though the electronic principles are the same, it just never did work as good as negative ground. I have no clue why.
I do know we had better luck with factory positive ground systems if we chased down a new battery that had not been filled with electrolyte yet or had any charge. Then filled it our selves and purposely charged it for the first time backwards.

How many people know what it means to check the oil dipstick in the carburetors?
