Their solution in the hospital was to put me on a blood thinner called ELIQUIS (apixiban) 5mg twice a day. - Tom

Pre-Covid antivaxxers have been the vilest of leftists and those not left have been taken in by the antiWestern 60’s generation propagandists.
I’m talking about Covid vaccines (”the jab”) which don’t work, not vaccines in general.
Yes I have disdain for the anti-Western, antiJudeo-Christian civilization campaign of being against any and all vaccines, hysterically and dishonestly.
Of course the are vaccines pre-Covid that aren’t needed and are pushed to be used, eg gardasil,
Covid vaccines which are gene therapy based, don’t work and do have increased side effects compared to most other vaccines.

Even if it is a co-morbidity, if there is rationing and you’re white and you’ve been keeping your weight down you’re never going to get treatment unless you’re 90 y.o and even then maybe not. You’ll be competing against obese folks. Obesity has 32 co-morbidities, e.g., diabetes, hypertension. Add up all the points and old skinny white folks will be out of luck
I took it for a time several years ago, but I had another medication at the time and I got into serious trouble, near death. I do not think that it was the Eliquis, but I have an old Army buddy who told me about his very bad reaction to it. He stopped taking it and recovered. In that I quit 2 meds at the same time, it is unclear just what caused my troubles, 1, the other, or the combination of both.
My issues also resolved quickly once I had my potential trouble causing meds DC’d.
Since implant when I was at 22% ejection and an enlarged heart, I am now at 47% ejection and heart has returned to normal size. At age 60 a normal heart is around 45% ejection fraction, so I am super pleased. I feel si much better. I spent six months feeling a perpetual drunk without even drinking. Feeling great now and trusting my cardiologists.
