The third attempt at a final prelaunch test for NASA's Artemis I mega moon rocket began Thursday morning, but the trial hit some snags and ended prematurely at 5:10 p.m. ET.

The agency will host a news conference on Friday to share updates and next steps for the test. The mission team had been attempting to fuel the 322-foot-tall (98-meter-tall) Artemis I rocket stack, including NASA's Space Launch System and Orion spacecraft, at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, but encountered a number of delays.

"The issue engineers identified over the weekend is a malfunctioning helium check valve."

. . . Mission control went into chaos when everyone began talking like Donald Duck.

With all the Muslims Obama inserted into NASA you would think that they should have a magic carpet as backup.

We had GREAT rocket and spacecraft names
Redstone
Mercury
Atlas
Thor
Gemini
Delta
Titan
Apollo
Atlantis
Challenger
Columbia
Discovery
Endeavour
Enterprise

You just KNOW that “Project Diversity” or a rocket named “Diversity” will be upon us soon.

I wonder if some of these problems are because of the work of a diverse workforce rather than the best engineers no mater their other categories?

I worked in the electric power business when it was run by engineers. We built amazing high-tech power plants that were low-cost, highly efficient, and very reliable. The suppliers and the utilities were all run by engineers.

The, after the first oil crisis in the early 70s and the environmental movement, all the companies got taken over by lawyers and greenies. That’s when the industry began to lose focus and failed to attract the best people.

It’s an old story.

Misread this as “The issue-engineers identified over the weekend as a malfunctioning helium check valve”

The Saturn 5 went through 4 wet dress rehearsals before they ironed out the ground support equipment issues.

Add “Falcon”, “Dragon”,”Freedom”, “Resilience” “Endurance” and “Starship”. SpaceX is picking up NASA’s old name game.

This Twitter business isn’t going to help much either. He’s got a significant portion of the Federal government looking into his businesses
