Mateusz Morawiecki on Norway: He indirectly preys on the war caused by Putin. It’s not fair, they should share [natgas price anguish]

Norway’s excess oil and gas profits will exceed one hundred billion euros. It is indirectly preying on Putin’s induced war. It is unfair, they should share, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Saturday at a meeting with young people. He called on young people to “write to their friends in Norway” about this.

On Saturday, the head of government participated in a question and answer session during the National Youth Dialogue Congress. He said the surplus – in excess of the annual average of recent years – oil and gas profits from “a small country of five million like Norway will exceed one hundred billion euros.”

– We are all indignant at Russia, and rightly so. Bandit robbery, bandits, criminals and so on, but ladies and gentlemen, young people, something is wrong. Write to your young friends in Norway. They should share this excess, gigantic profit, appealed the Prime Minister.

He also turned to “dear Norwegian friends”. – It’s not normal. It is not fair. It is also feeding – accidentally, of course, because it is not Norway’s fault, this war in Ukraine – but it is indirect feeding on what is happening. During the war caused by Putin, said Morawiecki.

– They should share it quickly. I am not saying that it is necessary for Poland. For Ukraine, for those most affected by this war. Isn’t that normal? – added.

Ruh-roh, Raggy! Putin's Price HikeTM is causing dissension amongst the European Friends!!

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki:

“But should we be paying Norway gigantic money for gas -- four or five times more than we paid a year ago? This is sick.”

Somebody should explain economics to the Polish prime minister, and why Russian pipeline natgas was cheaper than a smaller source of natgas that everyone suddenly wants.

Maybe Poland should invade Norway and just take their oil and gas,...out of fairness.

100 billion Euros for 5 million Norwegians. Hmmm... That is 20,000 Euros (21,400 dollars) for every Norwegian man, woman, and child.

Wonder what they will do with the money...? Build up their armed forces?

You apparently can take Poland out of socialism - but you can’t take the socialism out of some Poles...

Oh, that's easy! Because Germany's Merkel thought becoming dependent on Russian gas would make Russia less bellicose!

President Trump had it right.

Instead of whining, maybe Poland should be complaining about their EU brethren who have shut down nuclear and coal fired electrical generating plants.

The EU brought this problem upon themselves because of their socialist mentalities.

Now, we see why Norway never joined the EU.

To be fair, the stew that's on the boil now had lots and lots of cooks, and lots of ingredients.

The cheap Russian energy built Germany up into the EU's economic powerhouse.

Darn Russians, nothing but Evil Capitalists motivated by Greed.

They are awful compared to the Noble Hard Marxist Socialist Policy Lovingly Applied by Joe Biden and the Tolerant, Inclusive and Honest Democrat Party of the US in concert with Western European Globalist Humanitarians, and their Devotion to Children.

Aren’t they our NATO pals who we’ve been subsidizing? Why don’t we do the usual and send them our oil? Aren’t we here to suffer for our European pals? Why doesn’t DC print up enough to subsidize their citizens at the pumps? I mean, $40B here, $13B there, for our NATO pals? Who’s counting, other Rand Paul, anyway?

The Poles have enough gas to supply them for well over one hundred years.

So eff them. They wont go after it, then they can freeze.

Same for Germany, Same for the UK as well as many other European countries.

Sounds like Poland did a very poor job planning for their country’s energy supply.

Most of Europe is led by inept leaders to be fair.

War must be the answer I suppose…

It’s _Norway_.

It would be taxed away before anyone even saw it.

So Poland has gone full commie? They already take in more EU financial assistance than anyone else. I knew it was a mistake to involve ourselves with these backward eastern Euro countries with their historical grievances with Russia. Both Poland and Ukraine have a well deserved reputation for being idiots, borderline 3rd world backwaters. And both will become a never ending financial drain on whatever countries they associate with.

Okay. But if in some future time supplies of natural gas increases dramatically, or demand falls, and Norway receives far less than in the comparative period used here, will the Polish PM insist that Poland send Norway some Euros to make up for their decreased revenue?

I'll have to check into how big a hold the Polish watermelons [Green on the outside, Red on the inside] have on their national politics.
