COLUMBUS, Ind. — An energy grid operator has warned Indiana and other Midwestern states of the possibility of rolling blackouts this summer as extreme heat combines with a projected power capacity shortage and increased demand.
Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), an independent, not-for-profit organization that delivers electric power across 15 U.S. states — including Indiana — and the Canadian province of Manitoba, is warning that power-generating capacity is struggling to keep up with demand, according to Bartholomew County REMC.

Not due to heat. Due to Democrats and the moron Greenie Republicans.
Here’s where they would flip a switch and shut down your EV ,sorry
Next up, cholera outbreaks.
Quick! Give Biden and Democrats complete control. Nothing will be fixed, but you will feel morally superior.
And you thought smart meters were a good idea.
We haven’t updated our grid in what? 40 years?
Not mine. In the past 365 days I bought from the grid less than 42% of all the power we consumed at our house. My solar system provided the other 58%. And we're in the middle of upgrading it and getting an EV.
If my calculations are as accurate as they were with the original phase of the system a year ago, my system will produce 85% to 95% of all the power we consume, including charging an EV to drive ~200 miles per week.
Black outs, Brown outs ? How is this possible ? This is America.....Damn It ! There is absolutely no reason that we do not have cheap plentiful energy. But, because that = Freedom for the People the leftist will have non of that.
> Something I’ve always associated with 3rd world countries. <
That’s going a bit overboard. Sure, we have rolling blackouts. But 3rd world countries are so pathetic they have to import food to feed their infants. At least we aren’t doing that.
Oh, wait. We are doing that. Never mind.
That’s great! I believe you posted earlier that the solar you found was also made in US?
Bingo. How did we go from the most reliable, cheapest, and abundant electrical power system in the world to this? Democrats and believers in the global climate catastrophe scam.
I worked in the power industry for almost 30 years and finally had to leave because every single decision was political. When I joined the industry it was run by engineers who knew how to build robust systems. When I left, it was run by lawyers and greenie weenies who couldn't tell you the difference between a turbine rotor from a generator rotor or a kWh and a BTU.
“Something I’ve always associated with 3rd world countries. Startling how fast we are sinking.”
Yes. No reason for this.
U.S. is dumbed down and beaten down.
This isn’t Commifornia here, but we are moving ever closer and ever faster than I thought. Bet they’ll want us to stop taking showers soon, too.
And yet there sits the foundatuon of what would have been the Marble Hill Nuclear Power plant in northeastern Clark County........nothing but waste 😔

Just like ERCOT in Texas. This over managing and brokering infrastructure sucks and only works for Wall Street. Before these sharpshooter bribery grifting systems became the vogue, America never had blackouts unless it was a storm.
Many was the times I perished on the Oregon Trail! Dysentery, food poisoning, snake bites and all manner of things did me in. 🥺
Here is a news report from Indiana
Perhaps it is smaller towns but not big cities
