It’s ironic so many people are posting images from the remake and not the original film.

The original is the one under discussion.

A comely Cubana like Ana is always nice - she just has to fight through the Puerto Rican I have at home first 😂

I admit I am being particularly bad about that. I like the sequel better.

That said: The original was a ground-breaking film and will likely be remembered long after the sequel is forgotten.

Hauer should’ve been nominated and awarded the Supporting Actor Oscar for that year.

IMHO, the music by Vangelis, coupled with Rutger Hauer and Harrison Ford made it the best sci-fi movie followed closely by 5th Element with Bruce Willis. ;-)

I’m a boomer. My opinion doesn’t count anymore. But I saw BR 1 and 2 as an adult and have seen better.

Does Clockwork Orange fit the bill of a Sci Fi or maybe a Future Fi. After all it shows the modern ghettos, modern drinkable drugs and the 1st vision of an indoor Mall.

First Alien movie. That was my favorite. BR is in top 3.

This is not only the best science fiction movie but one of the great philosophical movies ever. The first time I watched it I understood Harrison was the good guy and Rutger was the the bad guy. The 5th time I watched it I was, whoa, who is really the good guy and bad guy in this movie. The 10th time I watched it I was, wait a second, what makes anyone the good guy or bad guy. A brilliant movie.
