Rutger Hauer was one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. May he rest in peace..................

Saw it back then. I was like 12, didn’t get it.

Watched it recently, I get it now.

Blade Runner is my favorite, for sure.

I was older than 12 at the time.

Instantly became my favorite movie, and that has not changed in the years since.

PKD was an incredible genius. I liked the book better than the movie. It’s a shame that he didn’t live to see the success that his works have enjoyed post-Blade Runner. At one point, someone (Mel Gibson?) was talking about a film of Dick’s anti-abortion short story “The Pre Persons.” More relevant than ever, and one of the first out of the gate to understand the folly of Roe v. Wade, so also a shame that he didn’t live to see Dobbs.

I like the version with the voiceover by Harrison Ford.

It makes the movie a combination of science fiction and film noir.

Sean Young was quite good in this one, as I recall.

It’s certainly a great movie, but the greatest ever? Nope. Plan 9 From Outer space is the Greatest SciFi movie ever. No other movie has gotten such mileage per dollar.

I noted Daryl Hannah “replicated” her Blade Runner death scene in Kill Bill 2.

I had much the same reaction, probably because seeing Harrison Ford was in Blade Runner, I was expecting a movie like Star Wars. I liked the movie in later viewings.

I like the version with the voiceover by Harrison Ford.

It depends on my mood.

I've seen the voiceover version a bunch of times. Now, I like to watch the non-voiceover version because I know what is going on. It definitely makes for a different movie experience.

Okay The Day The Earth Stood Still and Forbidden Planet are what I consider classic scifi. Even the original version of The Thing was great
