I guess you just have to sorta compartmentalize her. If she comes to family gatherings she must be a pill.

Let them beat his record with the same number of games he played; all these so-called Babe Ruth record breakers do it with more time to play.

Hank Aaron was a great player year after year and hit 755 home runs in his career, but never as many as 50 in a single season. We are talking about beating Babe Ruth's record in a single season.

Meanwhile, Albert Pujols is 5 homers short of 700 and 19 short of matching Ruth's career total of 714, also without hitting 50 in a single season. He has a good chance of reaching 700 by the end of this season but would have to play another season to reach 714 (and indications are he may retire after this season).

I got to see Hank Aaron play--but he did not hit a homer in that game (just a double).

I stopped tuning in baseball games when I stopped taking naps on the couch. Seldom even tune in for the World Series anymore. when the owners started using the forum for social engineering and blatant race wokeness, it was time to ignore baseball.

Every form of competition that exists — from badminton to chess — is rife with performance-enhancing drugs. And especially among the professional ranks, you’re naïve if you think anyone can be counted as clean just because they say they are.

Not to forget that for more than a decade Lance Pharmstrong had the world convinced he was clean. Just because he’s your hero doesn’t mean he isn’t lying.

The anti-doping tests are fallible and easily fooled. There are reliable and widely-available adulterants and masking agents for everything from steroids to human grown hormone to EPO, and they guys who aren’t doping probably aren’t winning either.

At Fenway the Splendid Splinter used to hit the ball just short of the right field fence by a few feet quiet often. So, Mr Yawkee decided to move the bull pens from the sidelines along first and third base to right outfield where they are today. Ted Williams home runs/season increased quiet a bit after the bull pen relocation.

His longest home run can still be seen as the only RED seat in the Bleaches section of Fenway Park:

Section 42, row 37, seat 21

502 feet from Home Plate

Every form of competition that exists ... is rife with performance-enhancing drugs.

And this is exactly why I'm still a Lance Armstrong fan.

All he did as -- in all actuality -- level the playing field. He just did it better than anyone else. And those tours are still the most thrilling of them all.

Armstrong's problem wasn't the drugs. He was very simply, a jerk. His teammates would have kept their mouths shut had he just been a nicer person. In the end, cycling had to take away his jerseys out of saving face. But to think that no one else competing against him wasn't doping as well is fallacy.

“We believe that McGwire, Sosa, and Bonds took high doses of steroids when they passed Babe Ruth’s 60–home run record.”

Yeah I remember McGwire when he was a rookie. He was a good hitter, but he was lean, not a beefy guy like Canseco. He definitely ‘roided up to get that power.

Nah, Mike Judge is the writer/cartoonist who created “Beavis and Butthead”, “King of the Hill”, “Idiocracy” and “Office Space”.

This article is about the baseball player, Aaron Judge.

The neck is always the tell. Heavy ‘roid users will have a neck that is as thick as their skull. You cannot get that by exercise, because you don’t exercise those muscles.

“The anti-doping tests are fallible and easily fooled.”

Yep. A couple weeks ago an MMA fighter was complaining about them coming to test him the morning of the weigh in, with no notice, and one of the things he said was “they never caught me”.

Not “I’m clean”, or “there’s nothing for them to find”, but “they never caught me”. That’s what he was proud of.
