A friend’s son was a professor at Temple. He did not stay long!
What about the victim? White?
Same thing happened to Baltimore except there the decline started with the riots- which happened for no significant reason. It’s a hell hole now. A priest I know has been stuck up twice, pistol whipped once- at 4pm on a Friday.
I went to high school in the '60s. It was happening then. We "paler" students were told to suck it up and put up with it because otherwise, they'd riot. I gave up hope long ago that it will ever "not end well" for them. Things have only gotten worse over the years. With George Floyd, etc., they have become more entitled and untouchable than ever.
Feral Amish with MAGA hats?
Screw the rules!
Concealed means Concealed!
I have no obligation to be a victim.
The City of Brotherly Love.
The girl I had a crush on in fourth grade used to kick me in the shins but this isn’t that by a long shot.
A guy I knew who went to Temple U and lived in the dorms went to Mickey D’s one night and got mugged.
He came back to the dorm got more money and went back up the street to Mickey D’s again got mugged a second time.
No violence back then around 1980 they just took the money from him.
I guess it’s worse.
I used to go with my family to the Inner Harbor from the late 1980s through the early 2000s. It was really nice. Now I see the stories about how even that area is a target for crime and violence. Its sad. Baltimore could be really nice too.
That area was somewhat dicey when I took classes at Temple years ago, but the campus felt safe. I didn’t ever venture there after dark, however.
I lived in Center City as did a few of my classmates and if you used common sense, that area was pretty decent and fun back then.
His power was righteousness - he barged his way into the fray confidently and made them stop. He probably sensed it wasn't a drug-deal gone bad, rather a random coyote attack - ie) they could be chased away.
Noticed too there was a large black woman stepping up as well. Among young black men, these women get respect - because Moms and Aunties are often the ONLY authority figures they see.
They descended like rats upon him. It took only one man to break it up.
Some of us prefer the family life of the 1880s over the 1950s but other than that agree with your point.
"...What's the whole story here? Was he antagonizing anyone? I'm sure @JackPosobiec knows the whole story and wouldn't post something without context. Right? I mean, I see things objectively, without bias, so I like to get the whole side rather than have biases blindly confirmed..."
Gee. I think this commenter had a point. After all, I am sure there was a valid explanation of why 20 guys appeared in a rush to surround and beat someone...Jack Posobiec is just a partisan hack.
I am certain somebody was disrespected. The guy probably didn't avert his eyes and look at the ground. Heck, even stupid birds know enough not to look a violent predator in the eyes.
That's just asking for it.
I was gratified to read the post of this objective, unbiased Twitter user.

Yes. Anyone notice the cops on bikes sitting there watching?
One small atomic stone burner placed in the middle of the Kensington area would do wonders for Pennsylvania. It would be glorious. One can only dream.

Oh, yes. There’s is certainly more to this story. It would be of value to society to know what the details are. And I tend to agree with you. This is most probably a disrespect thing, and not a robbery thing.
Not that the victim deserved it, of course. Heck, he might not have even known that he did something “wrong”. It’s just part of the joy of urban living, I guess.
I read hit response also and noted his virtue singling attempt oat redirection via “unbiased questioning)
Of course, he wants us to ignore ethe fact that there is no excuse for a large group of men to physically assault another man when no PHYSICAL provocation occurred.
Even assuming the guy was verbally aggressive it does not excuse this feral attack from a mob.”
Oh, come on. They weren’t just sitting there watching.
They just timed it so their arrival would take place after the festivities were done.
They have jobs to think about, after all.

The little Ruger 380, that I always have in my pocket, would have stopped that with just one shot.
Re #6. It’s time to open fire. If the cops get in the way, tuff nuggies.
