Russians and their cursed capacity for suffering.
There is a way to profit from every situation. I had plenty of the American sticks last February and they naturally appreciated in rubles by three times when the ruble temporary appreciated.
Russian 10 year bonds crashed at the se time and I sold American stocks and bought them instead. My entry points weren’t great which is not unexpected on such volatility, but I now hold it excess of $500,000 in Russian bonds, that are going to pay me about 40% each year (in dollars) for years. And that on the original speculation worth $100,000+.
What not to like?
There are tons of money transfer systems. You can even transfer cash from Russia to the US but I won’t tell you how not to give the ideas to block it to blackheads in the treasury who might read it.
Yeah, that was spoken like the sorta guy who gets told it will take 4,000 man-months to code software, and decides he’ll have it in a month with 4,000 people working on it.
Yeah, I heard the guys talking about that the other day.
Italians have a saying: What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

Post your source, please.
“About $300 Billion of Foreign Exchange Reserves Frozen Mar 13, 2022”
...except they can’t seem to find more than about $38B (US) of that.
Oh well, better luck next time!

In the days of the Soviet Union, to stay “pure” it was difficult to be for most to be accepted into a university.
If your father was an engineer, you may be barred from engineering school, with no room for the bourgeoisie, unless...
Much better if your father was a prole!
This made a serious dent in the Soviet’s technical abilities.
Some believe they never fully recovered.
And why is it that the Russians use so many foreign corporations to develop their oil fields?
...and so much more.

You may want to review the history of Russian bonds AKA wallpaper.
And pay special attention to the deals worked by a young Armand Hammer.
He did very well but he purchased the bonds for next to nothing.
Also iirc the French came to an agreement that paid a penny or two on the dollar a few years back.
History does not rhyme but it often repeats; your prospects of any recovery are near zero.
I have no idea what are you talking about but you are probably bad at math and even worse in finances.
—”There are tons of money transfer systems.”
You may want to advise your Russian friends because SWIFT was shut off last year.
Mir is crap and SPFS about the same.
That said, unless you are a heavy, no real currency is sent out of the country.
First of all, SWIFT is working except not with every bank, there are dozens of other options. It is just another thing you didn’t know.
—”told it will take 4,000 man-months to code software, and decides he’ll have it in a month with 4,000 people working on it.”
The Mythical Man-Month, I remember that book!!!
And 99.9% of the coders will be offshore and working for peanuts while working their phone center jobs.
SUCH A DEAL!
—”I have no idea what are you talking about”
Obviously or you would never claim to be a buyer of Russian bonds.
Such a joke.
...........lol, your “source” (MirageNews) is aptly named.

I know it’s tough to process the fact that the Neocons FAILED in their plan to steal Russia’s assets, but it’s not a ‘mirage’:
...I think I got it now. So....Bob L. and Mirage and a Canadian government bureaucracy know more about Russia’s finances than Anton Siluanov, the finance minister of Russia. Right.
“...I think I got it now. So....Bob L. and Mirage and a Canadian government bureaucracy know more about Russia’s finances than Anton Siluanov, the finance minister of Russia. Right.”
I thought the Russians are LIARS, at least that’s what I keep hearing here - so why do you believe them before you believe your friends in the West?
...correct me if I’m wrong but considering your recent history posting/commenting you don’t support helping the Ukranian people. Instead, in each post/comment, you clearly support the Russians even though they invaded Ukraine NOT the other way around. Like I said, if I’m wrong on your apparent support for Russia, correct me, no problem.
That we have at least 100 years history of Russian war time brutality/savagery (see below asterisk) that has no equal in human existence, that they supplied our enemy (North Vietnam) with pilots and airplanes to kill our guys, that they supplied millions of tons of weaponry to North Vietnam that did kill thousands of our guys, that they tried to put nuclear missiles in Cuba and brought us to near nuclear war, that they invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968 with 250,000 troops and 2,000 troops, that they have invaded/occupied all or part of Afghanistan, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Iran, Hungary, Norway, East Germany, Austria, Manchuria, Kuril Islands and Korea doesn’t seem to bother ole Bob L. one wit either.
So, Bob, that Russia has been the Worlds most brutal and savage regime/country in history is not arguable. If you want to argue that point, I won’t even respond anymore. 26.6 million people died due to their savage policies. That their indiscriminate bombing and artillery attacks kill thousands of civilian women and children and old folks don’t noticeably bother you either.
All that said, if you support Russia despite all of the foregoing history, and it’s clear you do, and for whatever reason, that’s fine and is your right. But, why don’t you just fess up and say “I support Russia”. Period.
