Tiger Woods’ Ex-Girlfriend Tricked Into Leaving His Home, Locked Out Amid Messy Split: Court Docs
New York Post ^ | March 8, 2023 | Marjorie Hernandez

Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend Erica Herman has accused the golf star of tricking her into leaving his Florida mansion under the guise of going on a “short vacation” — only to lock her out amid their messy and shocking split, newly unveiled court documents allege.

News of the couple’s split only emerged Wednesday when details surrounding their months-long legal battle — which has so far been kept under wraps — surfaced publicly as Herman, 38, sought to toss out a non-disclosure agreement she signed in 2017.

Their legal fight kicked off in October when Herman filed a landlord complaint in October last year alleging Woods, 47, booted her from his sprawling Jupiter home using “trickery” and then repeatedly refused to let her back in, according to the filings obtained by The Post.

If she was living there, and they went for a vacation, and he wouldn't let he back in, isn't that constructive eviction?

Don’t courts usually rule in the woman’s favor in cases like this? Tiger should be careful....*he* might wind up sleeping at a Holiday Inn.

They’re not even married, so why right to his property does she have?

If you are living in a residence for more than 30 days (Some states it might be less), you have to evict someone. It doesn't matter if they are paying rent.

Is she getting her mail there?

It doesn't matter if they are a man or a woman. It might not be fair, but it is a law.

I guess that depends on if she had her own place.

Probably if I got into that situation I would get a vibrator and put it in the crawl space then go on vacation myself

She looks the type you would not want to have access to your house.

“Don’t courts usually rule in the woman’s favor in cases like this?”

They’re not married, and she’s not on the title of the house. The only claim she can make really is that she was a resident there and he didn’t lawfully evict her. She might have a case but it varies a lot state to state, and the “red” states like Florida tend to side with the property owner a lot more. Either way, once a “resident” no longer is in possession of (living in) the property, a lot of the tenant protection laws are kind of null at that point.

Gee wiz. Next time Tiger wants to get into a serious relationship, rent her an apartment in her own name for a year or something. She can sleep at his place but she can’t claim residency.

It all depends on state laws. In my state, if it’s a single family residence (even a giant mansion), then you wouldn’t be bound by the normal tenancy laws on evictions and such anyway. If their name isn’t on the title, and they can’t prove residency, you can call the cops and have them arrested for trespassing if they refuse to leave.

But that’s my state and not Florida. And she could probably prove residency anyway, since it would just take a piece of mail or something like that. My guess is she might win some judgement but they’re not going to force him to let her move back in, just make him toss her some money for not following the proper procedures.

My sister and her boyfriend weren’t living together. However, because of the length of time they were together, he is legally able to go after her pension.

So, you don’t even have to do anything that comprises coupleship and one person can still end up sharing your assets.
