eunuch, castrated human male. From remote antiquity, eunuchs were employed in the Middle East and in China in two main functions: as guards and servants in harems or other women’s quarters, and as chamberlains to kings. Eunuchs were considered the most suitable guards for the many wives or concubines a ruler might have in his palace, and the eunuchs’ confidential position in the harems of princes frequently enabled them to exercise an important influence over their royal masters and even to raise themselves to stations of great trust and power. Some rose to become bodyguards, confidential advisers, and even ministers, generals, and admirals. Most eunuchs underwent castration as a condition of their employment, though others were castrated as punishment or after they had been sold by poor parents.
Eunuchs functioned as political advisers to the emperors of China as early as the Chou period (c. 1122–221 bc) and continued as such under the Han, T’ang, Ming, and Sung dynasties, persisting almost until the end of the imperial regime. At times palace eunuchs became more powerful than the emperor and effectively ruled China.

Everything old is new again, especially with the dems.
In China, men would castrate themselves to gain position in the palace. Better food and lifestyle. Sadly, not everyone who did this got a job and were left to be a eunuch peasant.
it’s a gamble....
The ancient Chinese admiral and explorer Zheng He started his career as a eunuch.
Worse than a Darwin Award.
In those days it wasn’t because they were gay. Zheng He had no choice, he was taken as a slave when a young boy and made a eunuch. But as an adult Zheng He was a bad ass no nonsense leader and far far from being a fruit.

Chinese have a tendency to self destruct and become isolationist. The Han people are very racist.
Even in the article, the guys complains about American power projection. What is his people seeking to do now?
If we learn nothing else from history, is the more you learn from others the better off you are.

Let’s get ‘er done!
NO RESPONSES YET! SHAME!
China has a tendency towards isolationism, because, just like the USA, it has the luxury of being able to be isolationist. China and the USA are probably the only large nations in the world that both have enough local resources to sustain themselves even if outside trade gets cut off and have highly defensible borders that can deter just about any invaders.
If you live anywhere else, isolationist tendencies will get beaten out of you by reality very quickly.
Well that explains everything. This whole trans-pamdemic has been another virus from the CCP to infect American social order.
