Ready for leftists to wreck your neighborhood?

Joe Biden's HUD is coming to make the suburbs more 'fair.'

As we sit comfortably in our homes, having dinner with our families, crime rates are going up all around us. That is to say that criminals are no longer relegated to the inner cities; they've evolved to suburbs and rural areas as they seek new and more vulnerable targets. The Biden administration is fostering the decline of those outer areas by using the Housing and Urban Development agency to force suburbs to accept high-density "affordable housing."

For several decades, one of the major dreams of the middle class has been to own a home in the suburbs. Now, under the guise of prohibiting discrimination based on race, religion, sex, etc., Democrats have proposed regulations that would force jurisdictions that accept HUD funding to "promote equity in their communities, decrease segregation, and increase access to opportunity and community assets for people of color and other underserved communities."

In other words, the left is saying that the route to upward mobility for disadvantaged minorities is dependent on their relocation to more affluent areas, where they will have access to more services. One wonders what services they'll receive in a small town that they can't get in a big city. By the way, could someone please tell me which communities in this country are segregated by race or any other factor? Furthermore, given how the left describes "equity," we can be sure it means that every resident will demand to have the same level of affluence as his neighbors, whether he can afford it or not.

This is just a continuation of the biden administration. They were trying to do this when hussein obama was president.
Notice how they don’t apply these rules to Martha’s Vineyard.

They want to dump lazy useless excuse-making loser thugs on us. They want to destroy whitey that tries to flea from all the violence and immoral thug culture. Crime will skyrocket even further.

Our mayor has started this crap in my little city. There’s no space but the commie and his minions want to build apartments, duplexes, approve ADUs which people are pissed about. There’s a large group of us, created by a liberal, who are fighting against him and he cronies. Of course, the mayor’s part of the neighborhood isn’t included, but he backs up to a golf course and his apparent NIMYB attitude is obvious. The SOB brought in folks from Portland to help with his study. In the meantime, the small post WWII homes are being snatched up, razed, and new McMansions are being built with costs of 1-2 million.

Right... never mind that I busted my chops for 30 years to even AFFORD the house and to maintain it (including the EVER increasing taxes)!!!!

Communists DO NOT comprehend property. That’s because your property is the material expression of your ‘man hours’ ... another thing they do NOT get!!

“the route to upward mobility for disadvantaged minorities is dependent on their relocation to more affluent areas, where they will have access to more services“

I think they mean “more access to affluent victims and softer targets to break into”

Harden both yourself and your home before this cancer metastasizes.

Not just alarms, but kick proof doors, security glass and security screens, fix flaws in garage doors, skylights, bars on key windows, firearms and training, then wired cameras, lights, etc. Figure out if your HOA can put up walls and gates.

Millions of illegals have to be warehoused somewhere.

MMM.... let’s see, if we were not letting millions of illegals into the country then there would be no demand for more high rises to house these millions. Allowing low carbon consumers into a high carbon consumption nation will not help the Climate Change agenda.... using land in the countryside for high rises means less space for Wind Mills and solar cell farms... plus more demand for electricity, so the question becomes why allow millions in when it does not benefit anyone, well at least the vast major of Americans.

Yep - you saw how fast the Hamptons shipped the illegals out. Mere hours after they were bussed in. This despite all the ‘Hate has no home here’ and ‘Immigrants welcome’ signs everywhere.

Another equally funny one was the reason crime is less of an issue in the subburbs is there are more cops in the inner cities. If we equilize the cop presence, then crime rates will equallize too.

Those "disadvantaged 'minorities'" drove into my "privileged area" for free medical care at the local urgent care.

They overwhelmed it to the point where it is now closed.

Yes, they have done this in California - which has taken over all local zoning laws, making them null and void across the state. It is now legal to build up to four units on properties previously zoned for single family homes - more if it is near a transit area. Our cities are under mandate to build large-scale apartment and condo complexes with thousads of units - with set-asides for low-income - if more low-income is included in the project, the developer gets a density increase.

A few cities are fighting back - Newsom and the state AG, Bonta (both idiots) said they will see them in court.

Of course, areas like uber-wealthy Marin - where Newsom is from, apparently - and several other wealthy towns have made themselves exempt.

I am seeing this all over my California neighborhood - high walls going up in the front, with cameras mounted on every corner - and strong gates for entry. Walls that are 9 or 10 feet high - even though the legal limit in my town is four feet in the front, nine in the back.

Sure. It’s likely to keep trial lawyers busy. It’s the enviro/PETA types that might object.

My California city has been mandated to build thousands upon thousands of new apartment buildings - which are going up on the peripheries of the city as I write this.

Never mind that we are under water restrictions here - with vans that go around and check to see if the sidewalks are wet - after a decade of drought.

Never mind that our electrical grid is past its breaking point and overloaded during heat waves - of which there are many during our long, hot summer and fall. I receive alerts constantly to NOT plug in large appliances, especially EVs during these times. Other cities nearby have mandated rolling blackouts.

Never mind that our freeways and local roads are jammed 24/7 every day of the year.

It seems none of these thousands upon thousands of new residents will need electricity, water and won’t further clog up our roadways. They’re coming here for a “better, more privileged life” that has been denied to them.
