And just like that, the COVID scam has gone down the memory hole.
As the swimming pool in my over 55 community gets set to open on Memorial Day Weekend, there is absolutely no mention whatsoever of having to be "vaccinated" in order to not only use the pool but to be in the clubhouse period.
Just a year ago, the little old ladies in my community (with some nervous old men) were all up in arms over the fact that "unvaccinated" people might be in their presence during swimming pool activities. So rules were made and signs were posted, making it clear that anybody not vaccinated were not welcome anywhere near the public areas of the community.
Like lepers, my unvaccinated wife and I had to ensure that we steered clear of all these utterly crazy people, who were still having groceries delivered to them and then putting on gloves to wipe them down in the hallways before taking them into their condos.
But now all that is OVER. It's like the whole COVID thing never happened at all. Nobody wears masks anymore and vaccination status never comes up, not even at the Bingo and Cribbage tables, where Karen types still reign supreme.
Even though it is well known in my community that my wife and I are not vaccinated, we now are invited to community barbecues, bocci tournaments, and gazebo opening ceremonies, as if we were never shunned and shamed for not getting the shots and only wearing masks when we absolutely had to.
The same at my workplace. Two years ago, good employees were getting fired or suspended for not getting their required vaccinations. Even though I got a religious exemption, I had to agree to get tested for COVID at the company's demand and to wear a mask in the workplace around vaccinated employees (none of which ever came to pass).
Even at my workplace, they are pretending that the whole COVID hysteria never happened. New employees are onboarded with no questions whatsoever about vaccination status. Nobody wears a mask at work anymore and nobody cares anymore about vaccination status.
I do see a mask once in a while in NYC or on the trains there. But these look to be timid, tourist types who are just being extra careful in a strange city.
The whole COVID thing just went away - overnight - with a whimper.
It's hard not to be bitter about how I was treated for resisting the nonsense but I'm also glad that the whole scam is over and done with.
Not to worry. The next plandemic has been scheduled.
And this time they mean business.
Flip the script. Start demanding that those who have had the Covid vaccine not be allowed in the public areas.
I bet the odds are good that it will coincide with the 2024 election.

Yeah. That’s how the human brain works though. We’re not really wired for long term fear, especially when the threat is vague (maybe somebody might have it and maybe you’ll be around them long enough to get it, and maybe you’ll have it bad... human brain just isn’t into that many maybes). It took a lot of media noise to keep people worried about covid more than 6 months. And once the brain has moved on, that’s that. Just like when you stop smelling the gas leak.
