But, most parents are happy to have an attractive daughter. It certainly opens up her life options. Doctors, lawyers, successful businessmen... they are all too happy to flock to an attractive young lady. Not saying she will have a happy life as a result, just that she certainly has more attractive options.
You should hate your husband instead. She obviously got her charm, intelligence and good looks from him.

It can happen with dads or moms. Usually more moms though. Dads are usually not interested in peeing contests like this. If either parent is just not confident with themselves, thats when it might happen. Often having smart good looking kids are considered a plus for these kinds of people and they get status boost vicariously through their kids.

But I just thought of another one, Skin Deep, in that one a professional photographer of models is stabbed. One of his models is a suspect, and her daughter is played by Claire Danes. But I think in this one, the daughter was jealous of the mother's looks.
