“The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.” – George Orwell, 1984
“Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth.” ― Aldous Huxley, Brave New World
I wish I could go through a day without having to reference Orwell and Huxley when observing how the ruling class is able to manipulate, subjugate, and propagandize the willfully ignorant masses through lies, deceptions, disinf

I believe George Costanza was a fan of that line.
Yes he was and was prophetic in a way.
[T]hey did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
The 3 greatest and most awesome powers of the media - Report on it, Ignore it, or Lie about it!
If the mediots ignore it or lie about the event, “Did it really happen?”

It may not be a lie if you truly believe it, but believing a falsehood does not make it true.

So was Josef Goebbels.
As a citizen of Oceania, and a member of the ENGSOC Party, I deny that.
Mao, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Obamao. Globull warming is great example. It causes everything from ingrown toe nails to forest fires in Canada.

I remember a set of lines from the old Kung Fu TV show.
“The Chang Family are traitors.”
“ That is false, The Chang’s are loyal.”
“The Emperor’s edict has made it true, they are traitors.”
Today:
“Trump is a traitor.”
“No, he is a true American, a patriot.”
“Garland and the DoJ has said he is a traitor so it must be true.”
