Snowiest June on Mount Washington — with half the month left

Snow on Mount Washington in June is not rare.

This year, however, snow totals are the highest on record for the summer month and forecasters say more is on the way.

On June 11, the Mount Washington Observatory announced 8.4 inches of snow for the month, a new record for the highest peak in the Northeast. The observatory began keeping track of snow totals beginning in 1932. Weather experts predict even more snow in the days ahead.

...

Statistically speaking, our last snowfall of the season typically occurs in early to mid-June most years,” the observatory wrote in a Twitter post.

The mountain peak has seen snowfall nearly every day in June, according to the Mount Washington Observatory. Officials there say that incoming cold air will likely see snow totals continue to rise.

A meteorologist based out of the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, said that a “blocking pattern” has prevented air to move out from the region into the Atlantic Ocean.

“It led to those record snow amounts,” meteorologist Stephen Baron said. “A blocking pattern is when there is an area of high pressure over the Atlantic that prevents air from moving in an easterly flow.”

For that same reason, the Northeast region has experienced a lot of rain in areas below 6,000 feet this year.

Baron said snow could fall as early as Tuesday again on Mount Washington.

Did the Mt. Washington Hillclimb bicycle race in the 80’s. Beautiful weather at the bottom, 40 degrees with 10 foot visibility at the top. Majority of the road was packed dirt. Eight miles, it took me almost 4 hours.

You have to learn to distinguish between what is climate, and what is simply weather.

I can explain exactly how to do this. It's very simple.

Anomalously high temperatures are due to the changing climate; these changes are caused by capitalism.

Anomalously low temperatures are due to changing weather, which is the result of random fluctuations.

This is what The Science tells us.

Back in 1985, I took my old family (before Mrs Deplorable) to Maine for a week. It was July 4th holiday and one day, we decided to visit NH (old bitch;wanted to do some shopping) so off we went it was 90 in Maine on a lake. Anyway, I dropped OB (old bitch) off and took the kids to Conway and Mount Washington. It was snowing at the base of Mount Washington. The kids had a good time.

It isn't unusual, journalists. It is normal...

This is a real “climate change” crisis. This is what happens when you let communist bastards pick your wallet in the name of “climate change” and divide your wealth among themselves and their dumbass, ignorant freeloaders who put them in power. “Climate change” is a scam. Those bastards pimpin’ it need to be in prison.

“Eight miles, it took me almost 4 hours.” Wow. That’s what we call “a killer ride.” Your watts were probably super high like the 150’s and your avg mph were probably super low like 5 mph avg. Slow.

Climutt Chainz strikes again! I’ve had true believers tell me this is a result of gloBull warming because gloBull warming means more “extreme” events. Therefore anything out of the normal, whatever it is, is caused by Climutt Chainz!
You cannot talk sense into these people.
