In a controversial move, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has announced her decision to skip Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the US Congress during his ongoing state visit to the United States.
Omar, who has been accused of hinduphobia by various Hindu groups in the US, cited concerns over the Indian government's treatment of religious minorities and alleged support for Hindu nationalist groups.

Well, I’m skipping it because of India’s invasion of the US with cheap labor. Maybe he’ll apologize and call on all Indian’s in the US to return home to India. Okay, I’d hate to miss that.
Still mad that they don’t rule the Hindus.

Modi is a really bad guy. He’s a Hindu nationalist, with a cult-leader like personality.
He and his henchmen are talking openly about genocide of Christians and Muslims.

By “voters” I hope you mean those who consistently vote for the Joe Biden types. I personally try to avoid being that type of voter myself. Of course, when you live in flyover country the politicians mostly pay little attention to you In some cases, that has proven to be good. If we in these “flyover” states had any real say in the matter, we would not have allowed certain influences into the running of our Congress & presidency in the first place. They just would have received no votes.
I wish they would do the same for the House so we don’t have to see them anymore. They are more racist than any white could be. With their religious beliefs, maybe they shouldn’t be in politics at all. They don’t represent all their constituents...just their Muslim ones.
I’m glad someone is boycotting Modi’s speech. He had moved India to be in the top ten nations for persecuting Christians.
Foreigners shouldn’t be “addressing” Congress.

He is, in fact, persecuting Nazarenes of all kinds, but it’s not because of theological reasons. He’s fine with non-Indians practicing whatever religion.
It’s because he is very much a proponent of the caste system.
They also have a real problem with freak show Muslims, and Nazarenes and Muslims are viewed collectively as invasive religions.
The caste issue is the Anglican Church there, in particular, (much more conservative than in England, ironically) and the Roman Church (and probably a lot more; my knowledge of denominations is poor) are popular with the lower castes and teach that the caste system is wrong, that we (they) are equal.
It’s disruptive to India’s society.
I personally think that’s a good disruption, but I’m not Indian.
Anyway, that’s the reasoning. It’s only indirectly religious. Not an opposition to Nazarenes in general, but mainly to people getting above their station and uppity, as a result (which again I support).
But you need to know where they are coming from to deal with them, even if you disagree.
She’s upset that Muslims aren’t treated like kings in India, she’s a Islamic fascist.
