Russia has been warned about inadmissibility of its plans to blow up ZNPP - Kuleba
Censor.NET

https://censor.net/en/n3428670

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is confident that Russia has received signals from other countries that its plans to blow up Zaporizhzhia NPP are unacceptable.

It was informed by Censor.NЕТ referring to Ukrinform.
“I think they did get it, and not only from our traditional friends and partners, but also from other countries that consider any use of the nuclear element in a conflict unacceptable,” the minister said.

According to him, the most important thing is that Ukraine has informed the world of the Russians’ plan.

“That is, now it will be much more difficult for them to implement it. I think they are already rewriting it, coming up with some new plan. I am equally convinced that our intelligence will get it, and we will also bring it to light,” Kuleba said.

Well, I guess there ARE some people who are GULLIBLE enough or STUPID enough to believe this.

Since I’m neither stupid or gullible I believe that Ukraine has CONTINGENCY PLANS to damage that nuclear power plant. At least I hope they’re only contingency plans.

Russia is our enemy and has started the biggest European war since WWII, our NATO alliance is supporting the victim nation and our GIs are at risk and positioned to protect our allies and you think talking about the enemy might offend those who support our enemy during their invasion?

- Ukraine’s artillery shell supply is limited, the longer the offensive takes, the less ammunition Ukraine will have to support and exploit any breakthroughs that do occur;

The Ukrainians fired 140 rockets at Belgorod over the last 24 hours.

140 less rockets to support the Ukie cannon fodder going into the Russian guns.

Pray that the Ukie cannon fodder doesn't suffer too much without that critical artillery support.

Apparently, the Ukie Azov guys who are running things would rather get up to a little terrorism, instead of supporting their guys on the front line.

I guess it will be time to send the rear-echelon Ukie muscle out on some press-ganging operations pretty soon.

The Western Media has huddled with the Ukrainians and their American puppetmasters.

The "stories" blaming the Russians for the Ukrainian sabotage of the plant are already written. The Media is just waiting for the GO sign from Vlod and his Azov muscle.

Remember - The Ukrainians were shelling the nuclear power plant incessantly earlier.

And now the Ukrainians drained the cooling ponds with their destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam.

Russian official reports 700,000 children abducted from Ukraine

https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-ato/3731091-russian-official-reports-700000-children-abducted-from-ukraine.html

The Russian occupiers have taken 700,000 children from Ukraine to the territory of the Russian Federation in recent years.

“In recent years, 700,000 children, fleeing bombings and shelling in conflict areas in Ukraine, have found shelter here. Many of them with their parents, and residents of orphanages with their educators,” Grigory Karasin, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Federation Council (upper house of the Russian parliament), posted on Telegram.

As reported, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Russian president Vladimir Putin and Russian presidential commissioner for children’s rights Maria Lvova-Belova. They are suspected of war crimes in the form of illegal deportation and transfer of the population, including children, from the occupied territory of Ukraine.
Video of the day

As of the beginning of June 2023, the abduction and deportation of 19,484 Ukrainian children, of which 4,390 are orphans, to Russia or Belarus by the occupiers were officially confirmed. At that time, only 371 children were returned home.

Yes… and while the Ukrainians were doing the shelling they vehemently proclaimed that it was the Russians themselves who were shelling the NPP. And our resident OTHER-PEOPLE’S-MONEY neocons eagerly spread that ridiculous lie as if it was gospel.

03 Jul: Finally! Ukrainians UNLEASH THEIR TANKS AND PENETRATE RUSSIAN DEFENSE | War in Ukraine
Reporting from Ukraine

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the four hundred and ninty fifth day of the war.

Day 495: Jul 03

Today the biggest news comes from the east.

Here, after securing the western part of the canal, Ukrainians launched the next phase of the operation, crossed the canal, and started taking Klishchiivka into a pocket.

After the Russians lost control over the forest, this part of their defense line became rather weak. Not only did Russians suffer from pervasive crossfire, but their supplies were extremely undermined due to the extensive visual control over the fields and not a lot of roads. Ukrainians exploited this weakness by unleashing their artillery on the main Russian logistical center of this group – Andriivka.

So the time worked in Ukrainian favor, and while Ukrainians conducted operations in another place, Russian troops in this region started suffering from shortages of basic equipment. This was a perfect time for breaching the Russian defense.

In order to swiftly penetrate Russian positions, clear as much ground as possible, and prevent Russians from even considering to counterattack, Ukrainians used tanks. The tanks advanced along the tree belts and used high-explosive shells to demolish Russian trenches and any other fortifications. Each such raid was immediately followed by an infantry assault that completely cleared and secured positions.

The assaults on the eastern bank of the canal were extremely successful because Ukrainians managed to advance by up to 1.5 km towards Klishchiivka, slowly penetrating the Russian rear. And this is extremely important because the whole southern Bakhmut’s flank relies on just 2 powerful fortifications: one north of Kkishchiivka and one west of Klishchiivka.

The fact that Ukrainians have advanced by 1.5 km means that one of these 2 fortifications has fallen. If we look at the satellite footage, we can see that this was an incredibly powerful strong point, which basically consists of a net of trenches right near the tree line.

So, by conducting such a rapid advance, Ukrainians took Russians by surprise with such deep penetration, not giving them a chance to properly man and equip such a formidable structure. Ukrainian 3rd Assault Brigade counted on such development of the events and was ready to push Russians non-stop. The moment the positions got cleared, Ukrainian assault units got deployed to the next one, the fighters entered Russian fortifications and steadily cleared the trenches, and took captives.

But this is only the beginning. Unfortunately for Russians, Ukrainians have also simultaneously capitalized on their recent gains in and around the forest to develop the second axis of advance that bypassed Klishchiivka and slowly set conditions for the encirclement of the main Russian fortification.

Today multiple Ukrainians fighters from different detachments reported that Ukrainians have finally pushed Russians out of the forest. One fighter stated that today the forest north of Klishchiivka was indistinguishable from hell.

Russians sources reported that Ukrainian artillery was so concentrated on this particular region as if they aimed to erase them from the ground. Ukrainian soldiers claim that this night is decisive, and if they manage to secure the newly gained positions, then Russians will have to start packing.

Overall, Ukrainians have penetrated Russian defense simultaneously from 2 sides and are effectively encircling the most powerful Russian fortification in this region. Ideally, they would aim to take it without a fight because not only is it one of the most extensive trench networks developed, but it is also located on a hill and near the village, which makes it very easy to supply the troops.

It looks like this is not going to matter, and Russians are going to retreat to avoid being taken into a pocket. In fact, Ukrainian Intelligence reports that Russian commanders have already started moving their command posts further away from Klishchiivka, which signals that the level of confidence in Russian defense is very low.

Happy Independence Day.

You do know that the IAEA has *confirmed* that Russia had previously mined the ZNPP complex and had definitely been storing munitions inside it, as well as military vehicles - in violation of international principles?

https://www.iaea.org/newscenter/pressreleases/update-168-iaea-director-general-statement-on-situation-in-ukraine-0

They predicate the current observations (to the effect of, no current signs of nefariousness by the Russians) with the fact they don’t have unhindered access to all areas.

“As Director General Grossi said last week, no mines were observed at the site during his visit to the ZNPP on 15 June, his third in less than ten months. However, the IAEA has been aware of a previous placement of mines outside the plant perimeter, which the Agency has reported about earlier, and also at particular places inside.”

“The five basic principles for the protection of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant (NPP) ... state that there should be no attack from or against the plant and that it should not be used as storage or a base for heavy weapons – multiple rocket launchers, artillery systems and munitions, and tanks.”

“The IAEA team had not reported any shelling or explosions over the past week and that the military presence at the site appears unchanged.”

So from the IAEA point of view Ukraine’s not attacking ZNPP at all and Russia appears to have stopped booby trapping it... although Russia needs to be less “don’t go in there!” to confirm it isn’t just being selective about the areas the IAEA can inspect.

Again I suggest you consider five things: means, motive, opportunity, risk, reward.

Ukraine:

1. hasn’t got means or opportunity. Their rockets couldn’t make the plant go boom, they can’t cross the river without being shredded.

2. Only has Motive if you really believe that Kyiv would irradiate three cities it controls (including the 700,000 minimum in Zaporizhzhia city itself) in order to wipe out half a million Russians in the rural occupied area and drag NATO into putting boots on the ground. NATO might equally decide to just cut Ukraine off altogether if Kyiv went THAT rogue.

3. Can’t explain how the (nonexistent) rewards would outweigh the (incalculable) risks.

Repeat for Russia. They have means and opportunity as they control the whole complex. Motive? Implausible unless you think that Russia really has gone full tonto “all our hopes are with the famine” and would rather poison the Donbas than surrender it. Risk? They keep reminding any would be retaliators that they have nukes. Reward? None beyond it proving that Russia today is madder, badder and far more dangerous than the USSR.

So, neither story really stacks up but you’re left comparing the plausibility of Russian leaders exercising their nuclear option and proving they really would go there, to the plausibility of Kyiv committing an act of national suicide.

Considering means, motive, opportunity, risk and reward for Russia blowing up the dam vastly outweigh the complete lack of means, motive or reward for Ukraine, why are you so convinced Ukraine did it?

Even the Russians admit that the dam didn’t blow up from a road hit. Even the Russians believe that misadventure on their part is a more likely explanation.

Also, only Russian TV celebrated the dam destruction... And proposed taking more dams out.

They obviously don’t want to admit they did it deliberately but they sure don’t want to admit that they COULDN’T have done it.
