The naked truth appears to be that Russia/Putin are pouring evil, ficious death and destruction on the Ukranians whose territory they have invaded or previously infiltrated. GO HOME ALREADY YOU $#%%^&&*s. And stay there. Leave Georgians, Chechens, Moldovans, Lithuanians, Estonians, Latvians, and Finns alone, TOO!

LOL! True.

Vlad0 does keeps acting confused & saying that he’s ‘not sure.’ Yet, he still continues to make non-factual, repetitious comments. Yet, I want to believe he is trying

Heh. Enjoy your Independence Day. Or, if you’re in St Petersburg, enjoy the good news about one of your hospitals finally getting some usable outdoor privies.

Unlike Putin, we’re not butthurt about our lost empire.

Perfidious Albion was an apt description of 19th Century England, and it’s no surprise that its serial oathbreaking and rampant sadism combined with jingoistic fantasies and exaggerated faux conservative puritanism - the worst of Victoriana - appeals to neocons and Putinists.

Partying like it’s 1823 is right up Putin’s street. Muscovy is Perfidious Albion with nukes and internet.

Dude - your third-world former empire is cancelling Nigel Farage.

In the Perfidious Albion of 2023, The City is partying like it's 1723 - before electricity, and your pitiful excuse for a country is cranking out Daily Fail articles from the MI-6 fabulists on staff.

Yes, born in Detroit, Michigan. Of two American-born parents, neither with any dual citizenship. All four grandparents, the same. Never swore allegiance to another country, never applied for a 2nd passport, never joined a foreign military, never was employed by a non-American company.

I did travel overseas extensively for work for a period of about 20 years, with my longest stint in any single country being months spent in Ireland circa 1988.

I'm as American as football (with the ovoid shaped ball) and apple pie.

The indisputable truth of the matter is simply horrifying.

No amount of jingoism or wishful thinking or propaganda, (no matter how non-stop and voluminous), can change Truth one, single bit.

nightmare

Yes it is. Payback for Brexit's a real bitch for Farage. Globalist filthbags never forget. . .

And now we can see precisely why such filth are going full speed ahead with their "cashless society" wet dream.

Farage is being cancelled because Europe’s banks have to have rules around “politically exposed persons” with suspicious money transfers.

It’s a travesty... because Farage is a publicity whoring grifter banker spiv Eurocrat who’s never been GB Parliamentary electable even in the most UKIP constituency in England.

Farage’s best election result was 32.4%, or 30% better than Stremousov’s personal best at the ballot box. Fifth or sixth time of trying.

George Galloway was far more successful, far more politically exposed, and yet still has no trouble keeping a bank account.

It’s unfair to call Farage “politically exposed”, when he’s been politically irrelevant for years. One bank turned him down because he’s too poor to bank with the blue bloods!

I'll try to separate out the multiple themes you touch on.

1. Neil Farange was not a particularly successful candidate for public office in the UK.

OK, that seems a fair assessment.

2. Farange is being cancelled completely legitimately, because of normal banking rules in Europe. There are special rules for a class called "politically exposed persons", which he comes under.

I had to look up the jargon term "politically exposed person". Here is what I found:

is one who has been entrusted with a prominent public function. A PEP generally presents a higher risk for potential involvement in bribery and corruption by virtue of their position and the influence they may hold.

This definition seems at odds with your previous statement. He's not an Member of Parliament, because he couldn't get elected. He's not a part of any existing party, because he dissolved the Brexit Party after he won the vote. So, how is he politically exposed.

It seems to me he's more of a political activist and commentator, someone like Mark Levin in the USA.

His claim is that he's being persecuted because the British establishment is petty and dislikes him for his activism.

So far the evidence he's presented (I saw an interview) and the fact of his actual position (commentator, gadfly, pain-in-the-ass to Globalists) vs. what the regulation is claimed to be about, suggest that his claim is probably true.

And that the banking regulation being invoked is just a pretext.

I'm not sure if you are agreeing or disagreeing with the pretext being just that. You seem to justify it at the start of your comment, but then deny it at the end:

3. It’s unfair to call Farage “politically exposed”, when he’s been politically irrelevant for years.

OK, so I think you don't like him, and you don't think he has accomplished anything (since Brexit, which was a pretty monumental deal, but OK: what have you done for me lately?) ... and he's not in a "position of trust" - so, I *think* you agree, the pretext being used to debank him is just that. A pretext. Nonsense.

4. One bank turned him down because he’s too poor to bank with the blue bloods!

OK, but that's almost off-topic, even if true, which I will stipulate that it is.

In the interview I saw he said he had approached 14 banks, and all refused him service. Perhaps he is not rich enough to qualify for one or two of them, but the issue isn't that he's not rich, and lost several bids to be a MP, or any of that.

The issue is that there appears to be yet another example of the love embrace between Leftists government and Left-leaning businesses to deprive people of basic rights.

Yes, in 2023 being able to have a bank account is a pretty basic right.

I note that in France, which is even more dominated by a center-left establishment than the UK or USA, this problem became so accute that the French Parliament passed a law saying that banks have to give accounts to people who they don't like. Marie LePen (who routinely wins 35% of the popular vote in first round Presidential elections, so is hardly a fringe figure) was de-banked, and had to invoke the French banking regulation.

What happens in France is that the major banks are given lottery numbers, and they are randomly assigned to the unbanked, so Le Pen got her number from the Government and it said "Bank XXX is required to give you an account as recipient #244, which they own".

Perhaps some similar system should be implemented in the U.K.

The left are relentless, and deplatforming is ridiculous and must be stopped.

It will be sad and reflect poorly on the UK if Farange is fored to exile himself from England merely to live a normal life.

But not surprising. England, which like most Americans I admired for most of my life, has now descended into a very nasty place. I described to a friend who grew up there as "a shitty little country". That pissed him off, but as time goes on it seems to be a more and more accurate description.
