I’m hearing fireworks just outside my back porch. I’m in Tampa too.
And there are fireworks shows in Tampa and St. Petersburg.
Perhaps you’re in the wrong neighborhood? My dog would like to know where you live, since he doesn’t appreciate the fireworks and wishes to go for a walk.
Think it was on the way to Cape May, drove through some deep pines. Air force boys would fly fighters real low. Was told a person can get really lost in those dirt roads.
Not in Panama City, Florida. Lots of fireworks from the Forgotten Coast through the Emerald Cost.
I am in northwest Indiana, which has lots of fireworks stands. People are using fireworks, but it seems like a lot less. In the past, they were pretty much constant all day on the Fourth, but today it was sporadic during the day and is just starting to pick up now that it is getting dark. I noticed that last year too, as well as on the days after the Fourth. Maybe the economy is having an effect?
“This is a very sad day.”
Ditto Aiken County, SC. Has been lessening each year for the last three years. Used to be quite noisy. It doesn’t appear to be a supply problem. Plenty of fireworks stands around here.
The other day I read LA or SF canceled the city fireworks show over environmental concerns.
Then I noticed every local TV station (seattle area) was going on about how fireworks smoke is hazardous and you should stay inside.
Like an APB memo went out to all media outlets.
Oregonians were honking their horns yesterday for the flag in droves.
There is a section of the barrens reserved for bombing practice. Another section were the pines get no taller than 4 feet tall. Quite unique in its way. The aquifer that flows across the region supplies fresh water for NYC.
I live in a very Red part of Central Florida — it has sounded like Downtown Beirut for the last four or five days.
Too early.. Only 3:30 p.m...
Lots of fireworks in southeast St. Pete, most unofficial. (I think there’s “official” fireworks at the St. Pete pier...).
I know Tampa had “Boom on the Bay” on Saturday, but it’s odd that Tampa would have its “official” fireworks on the 1st and not the 4th.
Four corners area, 25-35 mph winds, dry dry desert grasses, sagebrush and junipers. The firefighters are going to have a nerve wracking evening. Fireworks sales tents are jammed with customers. Gave my pups some melatonin and have them in for the night. fingers crossed.
Sounds like a war zone in rural PA. Beautiful clear night after days of rain.
There's always a small amount of "independent" fireworks displays from the locals here in Denton County, Texas - but many of the towns and cities put on impressive displays. This year is all seems a bit scaled back, probably due to the cost. People (and municipalities) have less money to play with under Bidenomics.
Turns out the Philly mass shooter was a BLM activists who was also a sexual weirdo cross dresser...
Well, you do live in lil mexico. I spent time in Tampa a about 15 years ago and most signs were in mexican back then.
Plenty of fireworks where I am.
DFW is jumping. Been hearing random pops throughout the day. Expecting the kaboom when it gets dark.
Same 30 miles NW of ATL.
