I love that movie
I believe the CIA was responsible for killing jfk, and for September 11th. I believe the central bank was responsible for starting most of the worst in the world. One conspiracy I still do not adhere to is that the moon landing was a hoax. They love giving us feelings of despair and fear.
The moon landing gave the opposite affect. It just seems out of character of anything they would ever do.

I fully agree with your statement about the CIA. They are really full of themselves, playing their blood sport games like denizens of the Byzantine Empire, weaving in and out of the palace corridors plying their skullduggery and intrigue on the courtiers.
The CIA does not want to assume the reins of power, but they want to make those who do beholden to them and “lead from behind”.
As a strategy, leading from behind rarely works the way it is expected. Too many ways things can veer off from the way it was supposed to go. But a lot of new opportunities then spring up.

There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it’s all dark.
That question really isn’t very interesting, once you reflect that it would cost multiple billions of dollars in today’s money (around 350 million per mission in 1969), and there’s nothing up there to pay for it.

do you know Harrison Schmdt by chance? He’s still alive, right? And seems like a good guy and has been a bit of a contrarian on “climate change” (his PhD in geology helps on that, I bet). I’d love to hear him comment about some of this if he is capable (I know he’s getting on up there in yearS).

I don’t believe this is true. I’ve heard something similar long, long ago, and my recollection is that it refers to tooling for the Saturn V rockets. We don’t need those anymore.
I know I’ve read that NASA lost the plans for the Saturn V, but our technology today is so much better, so much more efficient, that we really don’t need
50+ year old tech.

but it has been admitted that we couldn’t go back to the moon(of course there’s no reason to do so...I get that). We can’t send a person beyond the radiation belts safely today (ie, beyond earth’s orbit).
Again, though I do understand that there’s no reason to do that.....
