REPORT: Activists are upset at YouTuber Mr. Beast for building 100 wells across Africa that provided clean drinking water to its citizens
Although the wells provide clean water to half a million Africans, activists are upset with Mr. Beast because they're annoyed a white male was the one who solved the problem.
"I’ve been doing this for 15 years, but we’ve been struggling to continue the work because funding, awareness, and advocacy all take work," said founder of FACE Africa Saran Kaba Jones.
"Overnight, this person comes along, who happens to be a white male figure with a huge platform, and all of a sudden, he gets all of the attention. It’s kind of frustrating, but it’s also understanding the nature of how the world is," she said before giving him a weak 'thank you.'
Others were upset that Mr. Beast "highlighted" the failures of the Kenyan government that maintained the stereotype that Africa is "dependent on handouts… and philanthropic intervention."

Then build the wells yourselves!
These jealous charities exist for some other reason than building wells.
I saw this Mr. Beast video. He used his internet fame and operational skills to do tremendous good, and the locals appreciated it.

Those people at the Bee have some stiff competition from reality...
Bwana come back
Go back to wearing loin cloth you stupid bastards! What the hell is wrong with these people? This just proves that we will never get along with them and they are truly some of the dumbest creatures on earth.

Well eff you, you racist beotch.
You should be glad anyone of any race cared enough to help your sorry asses.
Because the money went to salaries and fund raising to help get the wells.
Why can’t we send get some Kenyan Police to come over here and straighten out our cities. Kenyan Police are bad ass and take no sh!t. Then we would be equal.
The fact that there were half a million people without water should embarrass the Kenyan government. We’ve given, what, 4-5 Marshall Plans worth of money to Africa and they’re still poor? It needs to be asked why that is.
Her pocket anyway. :)
That’s where the money goes first.
It’s the same with charities world wide. The Red Cross received half billion to build homes in Haiti and they built like 6 homes out of that.
Exactly what it's all about. This woman and her cronies didn't get a cut.
Activists are upset? Aw…poor little babies! 😥
The people of the Dominican Republic, living on the other half of the same island, seem much happier and much better off. Their transplanted culture here in the U.S. also seems much more positive and well-adjusted socially.
A failure on the part of the Catholic Church to build on the decades of missionary success achieved there by Archbishop LeFebvre, effectively leaving the territory of the Dark Continent to the tender mercies of the protty evangelicals.
i think that the woman was was voicing distaste that no African nationals cared or thought it important enough to provide clean water to the disadvantaged and actually help the ones attempting to do so.
She definitely deserves credit, not unwarranted disdain from buttheads.

Anybody can build a few wells. It's the three cardinal virtues, Advocacy, Funding, and Awareness that require real work, and the greatest of these is Funding, because Advocacy and Awareness flow therefrom. Here endeth the reading for today.
The ‘me toos’
It is an ingrained attribute and only got worse after the illicit 44 stint.
A fearless forecast: Half of those hundred wells will be out of commission in five years. Anyone want to take me up on that? It is well known that the most cost effective aid to improve health in the Third World is access to drinking water. “Give to UNICEF or the kid drinks sewer water.” has the right tone.
He should have worn black face when drilling the wells.
