Russian President Vladimir Putin's threats to let Europe "freeze" over winter have come back to bite his country as power outages spread nationwide.
Tens of thousands of Russians are reported to have no heating in their homes in the Moscow region alone after a heating main burst at the Klimovsk Specialized Ammunition Plant in the town of Podolsk, which is around 30 miles south of central Moscow, on January 4.
Residents in multiple regions including Rostov, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, and Voronezh have also been affected by lengthy power outages, and some have resorted to filming video appeals as they grapple with the subzero temperatures. In one of the clips, Russians complain that they are freezing and that they are left with no choice but to warm their homes with gas stoves, heaters, and "whatever else we can find."
Others are lighting fires in the streets to keep warm.

I’ve been know to type and post before my brain fully engages, and get called out for it. All in good humor.
Thus I was thinking about things like Fahrenheit 451, and just gave up as to what the joke might be. 🤣
I was also rather pre-occupied at the time watching something else. 😋
So there are not power outages and people without heat in Russia?
True if you had gas, but much of Russia does not have natural gas in their homes.
Verge and happening are not the same
But Russia is paradise, that’s what RT and some folks hear say, so how is this possible?
Yes I am being over the top, but what is even more over the top is the whataboutism that always comes out when something is happening in Russia that doesn’t fit the narrative
Party with half naked people in Russia, well what about all of that here
People in Russia without power or hear, what about all the people on the “verge “ of the same here
Ukranians are killing Russian civilians what about er ah nevermind
I doubt that Russia has any of those green energy dictates or policies.
Thus, my point is that we have energy issues too, thanks to the Usurper in Chief. But if Russia has cold weather, Ukraine does also.
Imagine you are right, my point is I repeatedly hear that all is well in Russia…. Story out there that siphoning of money for repairs and maintenance is part of the problem
Being used to the cold helps a little but when there is no heat or electricity esp in a city, that is not good.
There is irony in Russians attempt to freeze Ukraine into submission last winter through strikes on infrastructure , is having citizens freezing this winter .
This guy is around the bend on his hatred of everything Russian. He posted, at minimum, three articles on Russian egg prices in a week. Not a peep from him about the $4.50/dozen eggs I was buying last year. Today in the U.S. there were 387,000 customers with no power. Why would any American concern himself with however many Russians lost power? Russia, Russia, Russia deliriums, he’s got it worse than Hitllary.
