No. We wore skirts so short that you were guaranteed to have great posture just so your underwear didn’t show.

Not all 70’s music sucked. Though I can understand the hatred for disco.

Saw those signs everywhere. Disclaimer: There were a few disco songs I liked as with the Beegees' "Saturday Night Fever soundtrack" and a couple of Donna Summers, especially, "I Feel Love". It had such a great grove to it. The rest was mostly repeated crap, pretty much like rap.

I was so happy when "New Age" like the Cars, Blondie, Talking Heads came on the scene and blew disco away. My favorite musical and style era is the 80's. I have a custom library of 80's hits .... there were so many, even without the big hair bands. 90's, I went back to country with all the prolific artists and their slight mix of rock in their songs. Now I'm back to classic rock. I could go on and on, but won't bother you further.

I was talking to a friend about how our parent’s generation never went to the dermatologist and there was not much talk of skin cancer. Now everyone seems to get at least actinic keratosis, or even basal cell carcinoma while slathering on the sunscreen.

Maybe the increase in skin cancers is because we are living longer, but it’s just another thing that makes you go Hmmmmm.

Tattoos were mostly on old men. Mostly sailors or excins.
Noone wore their pajamas in public.
Only potheads Sat around smoking pot all day.
Gas was 40-60 cents a gallon.
You could buy ..what is now considered classic cars for a few hundred dollars..maybe a grand.
Kids used the F word much less.
Music was performed by four people who played guitars and a drum. ..not computer generated crap.

I like the $8.50 All Taxes Included.

The thieves charge outrageous “handling fees” these days.

“The article forgot CB radios...”

My dad had a huge antenna on the roof and one in his car as he was working on a large project about 5 miles from home. I don’t recall if mom could reach him at the site - I think she could?

“Tom Peterson said the windows are in. Call him back at 612-927-5562”.

“HEY LADY - get off the CB. You can’t be giving out phone numbers. This is for truckers!!”

New Years eve I would have a buddy over while my folks were out. We would watch the scary-movie marathon (Tarantula, Giant Ants, etc.), eat snacks, and talk to the truckers on the CB radio. Good times.
