Of course its not a real place, not any more than Troy ...or any of the other imaginary places that have now been found to be real.

The question is just where. You are referring to the richat structure. Some people claim that is where it was, there are old maps that place it there but obviously not maps as old as 9000+ BC.

Its certainly at least as good a theory than most of the others until better evidence is found.
