There is a lot of very convincing evidence.
Once you experience it, no one can convince you otherwise.
It changed me in many ways.
I guess what I had was a DE, not an NDE. I was playing basketball with friends on an outdoor court Thanksgiving weekend of 2018. The last thing I remember was posting up on the left side of the foul lane; then everything went white. The next thing I remember was awakening in the hospital five days later (they tell me). I had zero pulse or respiration (they tell me). I had been kept in an induced coma and was being revived.
I have no memory of anything happening while I was "out". But thanks to the Grace of God and prompt medical care, I'm here to talk about it.
They told me that I did die. The vitals had zeroed out.
I have no doubt that it changes you.
Most of the NDEs I had read about were of people who went up to see Jesus, but not him. He went the other way and I found his story to be very convincing.
My guess is, if the event and the person telling their story gives glory to God, then it’s probably real.
Dannon Brinkley was one of the first to talk and write about his dark NDE.
If a person was anywhere near God, it will change them. The Love is so great it changes a person’s soul.
It is impossible to hold onto sin and approach the purity of God. He is a cleansing fire. His perfect Love not only casts out fear, but any obstacles to Love in a person’s soul.
There is a false process that can be triggered in several ways. One is an ego rescue. I watched one very famous NDE experiencer do this and then form a spiritual ego around his experience. He wrote several books and many TV appearances.
I have purposely stayed away from the publicity as it will take away the “feel” of the experience.
A teacher I had talked about the ego as being something like an inner gatekeeper that could turn into a bridge troll on our intuitive bridge to the higher consciousness.
If given that power, the ego will both block spiritual intuitions, insights or messages from above, so to speak, that threatened its place in our inner hierarchy and the ego will also take credit for all that the ego lets comes through from above.
Staying small, dying to oneself, keeping the ego in check and in its place instead of letting it become the boss and ruling us with our fears, passions and hungers of the flesh, seems to be one of the greatest challenges to spiritual growth and failing to do this is the easiest and surest path to our downfalls, too.
Your posts are always interesting, especially your helpful warnings and cautions. The warnings and cautions about getting ‘stung’, as you have described, are very real to me. I do believe you.
