You can be satisfied with what you read in wikipedia, and that's fine. Let it be known, though, if you dig deeper, you will find volumes of lies told to us all, and eventually you will understand the far-reaching ramifications of things like the treasonous Act of 1871.

The purpose of the Act of 1871 was to fully enslave the American people by the international bankers. It was done by stealth, behind closed doors. The American people were not told about it in an honest and public manner.

I can’t help but notice that despite his extensive thinking and writing, Spooner wasn’t able to reach an understanding of the identity of his Creator. This failure greatly limited his ability to see reality for what it is.

The Act of 1871 as you are calling it is not its full name. It’s action name is the District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871. It established a new, unified government for Washington, D.C. It “incorporated” that city, a common legal term by which areas are organized for governance by a single entity. In this case, two cities and a county were merged into the District of Columbia. It made no changes in the nation as a whole.

You’re confusing business corporation with municipal corporation. They are not the same thing! Generically a corporation is any group authorized to legally act as a single entity. There are many kinds of corporations. A municipal corporation is a corporation to organized a district inside a state inside the United States. Most U.S. cities and counties are municipal corporations of some form or the other. My hometown went from unincorporated - no city government therefore no legal way of acting as a unit to incorporated - a corporation now capable of acting as a unit having a police force, taxing power, etc. in 1948. The act (Again read the act!) dissolved the charters of Georgetown & Washington City and absorbed them into and under one municipal government called the District of Colombia which out of habit just say Washington. Read the act!

You don’t understand the word corporation.
One could say the US (even the colonies) has always been a “corporation” it has the right to own property and make contracts, to receive gifts and legacies, to sue and be sued, and, in general, to perform legal acts through representatives. The District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871 changed nothing other than the governing arrangement of the then municipalities in the District.
The act changed “The Constitution for the united states of America” to “THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”
